  @XRebellionUK @BarclaysUK Yeah they were smashing glass with hammers, only to have replacements put in made (using fossil fuels) and driven on a truck (using fossil fuels) fitted by men who have traveled there (using fossil fuels) they just added to the problem, maybe they should have stayed at home

  @georgehibberd @XRebellionUK @BarclaysUK I think this protest was a bit too nuanced for the vast majority of public to “get”. The fact you need to come on here and explain it means it’s not going to have the best optics in any media coverage. Time for a strategy rethink? Surely action needs public support?

  @XRebellionUK @BarclaysUK I can't take this action seriously and am actually doubting ER as a reliable organisation. More glass has to be made and transported along with the workers to fit it. How does that help? The action makes you look foolish and people won't take you seriously which is a huge worry.

  @XRebellionUK @BarclaysUK I can’t condone this action. It is a shame you feel the need to resort to this and will lose you many supporters I’m sure. This doesn’t help the cause of climate change and simply gives ammunition to detractors.

  @XRebellionUK @BarclaysUK and as a result a load of glass will need to be replaced which generates a load of carbon, to be driven to site in vehicles that emit carbon and all sorts of other particulates ... and on top of all that, the general public just end up thinking of you as vandals not activists ...
