I’m starting to think @BarclaysUK does not want new customers. Trying to open an account with them is mission impossible and the app malfunctions. Trying to speak with a human being to get it sorted has also been unsuccessful. Isn’t technology meant to make life easier?

@thegriffter @YvetteHenson @BarclaysUK Terrible customer services too. I applied and was accepted for a card last year. After the card arrived they asked for tax office paperwork it was impossible for me to get at that point in time so they closed the account down. Utterly pointless exercise.

@BarclaysUK I find it impossible that I’ve been a customer for 23yrs plus and you can’t decide immediately if I’m suitable for barclaycard, all this history but are unsure. You have 24 hours to apologise and process or I’m leaving Barclays altogether

@AmazonUK I think you definitely need to work with a better credit provider than @BarclaysUK I have now had 43 people contact me with regards to them TRYING TO PAY VIA CREDIT all have good credit and turned down by barclays why not try and partner with @Klarna they are better

Hello @BarclaysUK do you use any 3rd party payment apps? EG. Google Pay. I use the barclays app for mobile contact less payments, but I have to sign in after every transaction which is really annoying when you're in a rush. I use a Samsung Galaxy device
