I asked my local @BarclaysUK about an account for my 15 yr old. They said I have to open an account too, no problem, but they also wanted me to shift ALL my banking to them. Nope. They refused because "they want to encourage new customers" ?????

@sumner_rowan @BarclaysUK I called again today and got the same - still not able to receive foreign cheques. It’s quite incredible that the most basic service you expect from an account is unavailable. I’ve logged a complaint with the financial ombudsman

@BarclaysUK I have tried ringing can’t get through the Barclays app messenger nothing can help. I need a certificate of ownership for my current account this is a last resort I need it today. Is there anyone who can get this done
