@Walker277 @btsport It took me an hour or so to get through to them, they offered me half price for 24 months. But I decided to cancel anyway

@Walker277 @btsport Its while bad that you cant cancel online so you have to pay for the phone call that takes forever. Thinking about getting one off those funny boxes that has all channels

@paullewismoney @bt_uk BT switched me over to digital voice despite my saying I didn’t want it… live on my own on the edge of remote village in Northumberland.. myself and many others left without any communication in the post Storm Arwen power cuts. Absolutely stupid decision.

@skiptotheend @paullewismoney @bt_uk Unfortunately that isn't the case of continuing to support the PSTN network as parts are hard to find and the technology & skills is no longer there globally. There are better devices out there to supply backup power and also ways to basically continue to have power when off grid

@bt_uk Thanks for the reply, they just keep saying that BT will come around and check the area and fix it, but no one does, they don't even ring me back. All I want to know what area is affected and when it will be fixed. Thanks

@rogeroflocksley @paullewismoney @bt_uk Trouble is, many of BTs underground multicore copper conductors are very old with many of the pairs in these cables ... dead.

So @bt_uk is raising bills almost 10% to bring me the 'latest technologies and services' - what latest technology do they need to provide the awful 7 - 8 Mb download speed they offer me?
