I have freeview so in order to get my football fix tonight i watched the rerun of last Sunday’s thrilling #mls encounter between la galaxy and Vancouver whitecaps. By god the standard is poor. But I love football so it was great.

Any tv tech savvy bids on here? Parents tv is badly pixelating channels through digi-box but fine through Freeview. Replaced box and leads and tried a signal blocking filter with no success. Any ideas? #bt #techsupport

@Afanasiew Being in my fifties basically any freeview daytime advert. Life insurance, retirement homes, stairlifts etc. The worst of the lot is the life insurance wrongly delivered post (again) ad with 'June from next door'.

@FreeviewAdvice Hi Anne. Thanks for the input but I don't believe whether or not it's connected to the aerial is the issue here as it's a group of apps that are affected not just the Freeview one. If the Freeview app was opening ok but then saying it needs an update then I would borrow one

@glastonbury @BBCTwo Or better yet, flick to channel 898 on Freeview, has a classic episode of Paint Drying... doesn't feature any **** music or drugged up hippies.

@JohnMac87014501 @HXValley Are you in a problem signal area there, John? There is a Freeview helpline. Might be worth chat in case they can help? Freeview advice line on 03456 505050

  • word_soup Ian (@word_soup) reported

@SuperRetroid Not massively surprising, I mean for quite a while their brand was being a low cost no strings tv service to add a few extra channels to Freeview for people who didn't want or couldn't afford Sky/Virgin, so it makes sense their routers would be budget as well.
