I have freeview so in order to get my football fix tonight i watched the rerun of last Sunday’s thrilling #mls encounter between la galaxy and Vancouver whitecaps. By god the standard is poor. But I love football so it was great.

@whocolour @WhyNotts_ @Forces_TV Also from what I've read in the past, there's a future intention to further slim down Freeview to make way for more mobile frequency allocations and the subsequent switch to HD will mean only twelve or so channels in total. There won't be any +1 services so not as bad as it seems

  • I_Am_Artemis Artemis Aye. (@I_Am_Artemis) reported

Aww man I've lost the freeview signal on the TV and I don't know why 😭

  • Bobby_Drake7 Bobby Drake (@Bobby_Drake7) reported

@FreeviewAdvice Thanks for the reply George, much appreciated. Guess im.gonna have to go direct and some questions then...! Admittedly I thought it was your owners whose name I forget. Sadly Freeview is becoming a continually more stifled service, it's a shame.

  • FWestfield Francis Westfield (@FWestfield) reported

Phoned freeview helpline. They did not recognise the web page talking of issues since 4pm yesterday. They also suggested not due to the weather in the West Midlands. So I am back to square one. I expect it will sort it self out.i give up at this point.

  • AndrewBowden Andrew Bowden (@AndrewBowden) reported

@LornaGoodyear Paramount+ is a new streaming service so it's built into many TVs. But actually there are Freeview channels that need an internet connection so yes there are channels thatb can't be watched on normal TVs

  • itvhubhelp ITV Hub Help (@itvhubhelp) reported

@devonfromdevon @itvhub Thank you for confirming this, with some Freeview devices to activate subtitles you'll need to switch them on so you'll need to enable subtitles via the TV's captions/accessibility settings. If you're having trouble with this, please DM us - with your TV's Model Number.

@SkyArts this isle of wight coverage is shocking, it’s a good job sky arts is on freeview otherwise I’d be calling up to cancel. Actually I’d like to cancel.

  • CatONineTalez Cat O’ Nine Tales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (@CatONineTalez) reported

@CatwomanNation I’ll give it a whirl but I’ve never done one of these tier things before so I’ve a feeling it will be like watching your granny trying to work the Freeview box…

  • rsmck Ross McKillop  (@rsmck) reported

Big mistake to remove @BBCNews HD from Freeview. Hotels, airline lounges, foyers etc where BBC has prevailed for years will switch to another news service rather than retrofit freesat or IP based solutions just to keep the same channel :(
