@dancludlow Never thought of it even. Not that worried, there'll be a solution. It supposedly has Freesat & Freeview on it. Will have to try to get D's son out here, if he ever stays still, he'll know! TV is 2020 model, hardly top of the range but good enough for me.

Impressed to see that @TalkingPicsTV now has a Freeview Red Button service. HbbTV (Freeview Play) so older TVs might not work - and requires Internet connection.

@mativity @rfgwyther No sign of either ITT on the Freeview schedule for any of 9's channels. @sophoife said it is possible to add the StanSport trial to a Stan trial though. Doesn't help if you don't have the capability to watch Stan though.

@scottygb Also - and I'm not an expert in this and I could be wrong - is there not a technical issue where it's a bad idea for too many Freeview channels to show the same thing at the same time? I'd assumed that's why BBC Three and BBC Four were off the air rather than simulcasting.

@petercrouch Are you talking about Freeview, Freesat, Sky or Virgin Media? Actually, forget it, I'm not that interested in your first-world, millionaire 'problems.'

@Toughtruth5 @StGilesHighKirk Nobody had to have it on 24/7. If you did, you're stupid. I probably haven't watched 3 hours all told, because amazingly in 2022, there are lots and lots of other free channels, showing regular programmes, even without subscriptions (Freeview etc). Or maybe, just turn it off?

Does anyone know if Samsung Freesat tvs can receive Freeview like other tvs? I've been ping-ponged between @JohnLewisRetail customer services & technical support, who initially said did, then @SamsungSupport who said didn't, then JL say it needs a digital aerial. 🥴😵💫🌀😵

@SimonMcCoyTV I do think there's been an awful lot of filler but it's not as if the BBC doesn't have three other channels, and there must be 50+ other freeview channels if one cannot tolerate the blanket coverage of the passing of a monarch who has reigned 70 years.
