@dancludlow Never thought of it even. Not that worried, there'll be a solution. It supposedly has Freesat & Freeview on it. Will have to try to get D's son out here, if he ever stays still, he'll know! TV is 2020 model, hardly top of the range but good enough for me.

@ITVborder sorry to bother you but I’m on border tonight but can’t find the channel number for border tv on my freeview. The regional settings never worked. Is it 428? Thanks x

I'm fuming. @NOWMusic made NOW 80s into NOW Christmas then NOW 90s into the better NOW 80s. Good if you have virgin or sky but terrible news for freeview viewers. Means the only way to get NOW 80s is if you have a connected tv so that you can use channel box.

@stuartleech @MartinSFP Interesting. Can I ask what make/year? This is with a 2016 Toshiba. When I looked online it basically says some devices can require an aerial/signal but it's up to the manufacturer. I can understand it for bringing up the EPG part of Freeview Plus but not the standalone apps.

Wondering how i'd put together a device that sits between a Freeview box and a TV, and refuses to play anything other than the test card signal at certain times of day, as a novelty gift for a nostalgic friend... especially when i don't have a TV

@thegareth I have seen some on Freeview. But still very trad-docs, though some interesting. But a lot, lot of filler and fairly-crap at that.

@discoveryplusUK I prefered DPlay to be honest. The new website is awful & I'm a bit disappointed that shows that were previously free are now only available with subscription...especially as the shows are broadcast on freeview!

@FreeviewAdvice Hello - via our Humax here in IV9 we've had 24hrs with at least half the Freeview channels unavailable due to weak or no signal inc all C4 and ITV channels, Daves and various others. All BBC so far are fine. Any reason you can see, or advice? Thanks. @HumaxUK
