@jdpoc I really hope Freeview (+ Freesat) never get axed. 1) We need a backup when internet or digital providers go down 2) Freely is subscription TV via the backdoor. You need to pay for monthly internet service to receive it. 3) Internet is not geographically accessible everywhere

@dyson123 @jdpoc The original meme stated “this year the government will decide whether to turn off the freeview signal”, that statement is false and misleading

@cudaplumcrazy @jdpoc Earliest date they are possibly going to remove Freeview from a terrestrial signal is 2034. And that's the absolute earliest, it's being reviewed constantly so could be extended.

@frombwtocolor Woah Annoying we had to stop our Sky package in 2007, we got it briefly after we moved and stopped having cheap cable as a treat. And then were on Freeview for years. Would have loved this!

@BBCStokeSport @GMcGarrySport @ThePeterMorse Thanks Radio Stoke. So when I'm driving up to Carlisle later I'll have to get my freeview TV connected to the car 🤨. Absolute jokers. Letting Graham and Pete down. Get in the bin #CreweAlex

Obviously Freeview never asked AI how popular 70-year-old or maybe older cowboy films are or war films that they've flood their channels with? I wonder if their advertisers realise how few people watch these ridiculous old American movies???
