Alistair Clare (@alistairclare) reported from Rodington, EnglandThe #5g nonsense is awful. People setting fire to masts serving critical communications is madness. The frequency used in 5g has been redeployed from tv / freeview but still considerably lower power. 5g’s only side effect is faster & lower latency mobile internet #5gconspiracy

Anne Wells (@annewells26) reported@NotFarLeftAtAll All part of controlling us. I don’t have TV packages only Freeview & my internet is bad so don’t watch much anyway, barely anything in summer. Unfair for the elderly.

Marina (and Buster🐾)🐈🚣♀️ (@mpmeg) reported@MajQapla The Encore app is a catch up only service, and doesn't show live TV. I expect Abigail's Party will be added after broadcast. I watch TPTV via Virgin media channel 445, I know it is on Freeview (81?)

Stephen Neal (@Stephen_Neal) reported@UHD4k @Bobbinz @SVGEurope Afraid although I work for BBC Studios (which makes shows for the BBC) I have no insight into what iPlayer may support in the future. AAC was chosen for Freeview HD because Dolby had no equivalent receiver-mix audio desc'n support in 2009ish when the platform was standardised.

Susie Burton 🇬🇧🏴 (@SusieWBmeme) reportedMy elderly, widowed neighbour struggles to navigate Freeview. Her smart TV supports Netflix, Prime, Sky, but even if she could afford those platforms, she would be terrified of touching a different button on the remote. She sleeps very little and the TV is her only companion. If she can’t return to her familiar menu, she panics. I’ve had desperate calls from her in the evening, petrified that she’s ‘broken’ her TV. She never has, but her swollen arthritic fingers struggle with the tiny, spongy remote buttons. It’s heartbreaking 🥹. The @LabourParty DO NOT GIVE A **** about the vulnerable and elderly. I honestly believe they’re building to a ‘Logan’s Run’ style of totalitarian State 🤬

Scott (@_fod0) reported@HLTCO It's been **** for years. The last time I properly watched it was when Ray Stubbs was still in charge and we had Score on the Red Button. When Sky Sports News went free on Freeview, I watched Soccer Saturday instead.

Essex Baldy (@darrensharp73) reported@TalkTV @cjsnowdon @iancollinsuk I don’t necessarily believe a sub model would work, but as an initial step they should require subscription-based logins at least for their TV and web-based services (radio maybe less practical). Maybe just have SD broadcasts on Freeview and require streaming for HD due to practicalities (Sky shouldn’t be an issue). This way those who don’t pay (for a license) will find it hard to view, and it would also cut off more overseas users who view without paying.

laura (@hudsonlc6) reportedfreely the best freeview out there. needs the Internet to watch tv but then doesnt connect to the internet and when it does connect, the tv doesnt work. 6 months I've had this tv and this **** doesnt work

CharlesWynfordLodge (@2hrTV) reported@BENEFITS_NEWS I don't understand what switching off Freeview does, except I assume forces people to pay for everything? We have an Amazon Fredrick thing but the channels are apps. It's crap half the TV channels you can't even get on it. Freeview is better.

nick renshaw (@nickrenshaw5) reported@BBC I hear that Freeview is being turned off at some point in the future. Well you will lose my payment for the TV licence as that's how I watch TV & if you get rid then I won't be able to watch & I'll cancel my licence. Not a very clever decision to make is it?
