The #5g nonsense is awful. People setting fire to masts serving critical communications is madness. The frequency used in 5g has been redeployed from tv / freeview but still considerably lower power. 5g’s only side effect is faster & lower latency mobile internet #5gconspiracy

@theoneringnet Sadly i'll never see the prequels of LOTR....Terrestrial & freeview tvs no longer show original LOTR now. Gone Forever😢. Occasionally we get The Hobbit.. but thats rare... 1 or 2x per yr. Soon this'll be Gone Forever. Star Wars suffered a similar fate. Gone Forever.

@RespectIsVital @BBC instead of forking out for a tv licence put that money on internet service..its what we did..freeview free sat.. its dreadful cos no one can afford broadband&streaming. tell em to stick their tvlicence&dont use their channels or iplayer. how you feelin today?

  • JulesPowis Jules Powis 🌻 (@JulesPowis) reported

BBC3's audience is all online. Going linear won't compensate for low-quality content. BBC3 failed online, it'll fail on Freeview. BBC4's target demographic are all linear consumers, they do like the content. Killing-off BBC4 to keep BBC3 on Freeview makes absolutely zero sense.

@CBeebiesHQ What’s happening to CBeebies HD on freeview next month? Seen a news article saying the transmitter it on being shut down?

  • ghstofyouDixon Betty (etsy: bettysallsorts)🦄 (@ghstofyouDixon) reported

The fact that the bbc is shutting down cbbc when so many families like my own growing up could only afford freeview and it was the best thing I had

  • BO3673 Phil (@BO3673) reported

@renrag61 Times just move on. By your argument we’d never have moved to freeview.

  • cm_scotland cm_scotland (@cm_scotland) reported

@RespectIsVital @BBC An absolute disgrace, CBBC on FreeView should be a protected service for all

  • HiddenYorkshire Catherine Warr - Yorkshire's Hidden History (@HiddenYorkshire) reported

With more freeview channels being shut down and mainstream channels and production companies seeking only programmes and subjects which appeal to the lowest common denominator, it's more apparent than ever why platforms like YouTube are able to bridge that information gap.

  • DaisyDa49084920 Daisy (@DaisyDa49084920) reported

@RespectIsVital @BBC I was lucky enough to have freeview throughout growing up and it's saddening that other generations won't.... Idk if this could be any help at all but perhaps a dvd player. You can get dvds pretty cheap at charity shops and library's. It won't be the same obviously but may help

@LukePollard To be honest though, I wonder how many actually watch it on normal TV and not via iPlayer? I can only go off our experience which is I only use freeview to watch F1 on Channel 4 occasionally, otherwise its iPlayer on the PS4 / TV. Still think it's a bad idea though.
