Warning, stupid question incoming, does a Freeview tele just simply plug into an old skool aerial?? My mum wants a new TV but doesn’t have cable. I’m assuming so? I’ve had cable since the early 90s so haven’t had to faff on with aerials for 30 odd years !!!

@GBNEWS @afneil Such a shame you’re all the way down the freeview channels on no.236 while the BBC are still squatting on the defunct BBC3 freeview channel no.7… Maybe after the teething troubles are sorted this is something to aspire to? Kindest regards

  • LordduFey Mark Duffy (@LordduFey) reported

@GBNEWS Hi there, congratulations on launching your great news channel. I’ve noticed that the volume on your channel is much lower than the other channels on Freeview. Is this for your tech guys to fix, or is the problem with Freeview to fix?

  • wordspinster Debbie Cameron (@wordspinster) reported

@DrClaireH Discovering that this is available on Freeview has vindicated my policy of only ever retuning when I suddenly lose a channel I actually watch--every time I do retune I get mesmerised by a bunch of new and terrible additions

@WotNot5 @GBNewsFails I've just been Googling about it - apparently they're having some problems on Freeview even after retuning (which is what I did). Everything about GB News just oozes high quality.

@ofthesparrows When I was in halls and using freeview I used an Argos portable Ariel for my signal That ws before the analogue shutdown so not sure how easy they would be able to get now The signal strength was limited with that & from my room / location such I could only watch a few channels
