    Not at all surprised to find that @itvx is a pile of rubbish. Not integrated into Freeview Play's TV guide, no Channel list in the app's UI, so using it for catch up is a pain in the neck. Didn't they do any usability tests? Unbelievably bad. That's if it loads... #itvx

    @UKLabour I'd say there are enough channels on Freeview for the open university to train up the people we need for #NHS etc. foreign pupils could enrol and pay for registration. it could even support advertising and be used similar to the bbc overses broadcasts in WWII

    Why is @ThatsTVOfficial "That's TV 2" only available on #Freeview, the weather today is playing havoc, constantly "Poor signal quality", why was the channel dropped from @freesat_tv - where the picture was never affected by "atmospherics". #ThatsTV

    @photonvision @fwrenzo1 You will not be able to soon in the UK. That is why they are shutting down Freeview.

    @GBNEWS Problem is Freely isn't free.... You need a broadband connection costing you tens of pounds per month. Where as Freeview and Freesat are actually free to view.

    @BENEFITS_NEWS Well for a start the Freeview service is guaranteed until at least 2034 and likely to be phased out over a period of time; unlikely before about 2040. 'Freely' is currently being touted as the IPTV replacement - From about Β£70 for a set-top box; this price will drop dramatically.

    @LillacTyanu This is the most accurate breakdown in the thread, so thank you. You are right, the fee is for live TV, Freeview comes preloaded, and if you never connect the aerial or watch live you do not owe it. They can chase you, but the burden is on them to prove you watched. That nuance is the whole ballgame. The fee leans on people not knowing they already have the exit. You clearly do. πŸ¦‹

    @4doorsmorepaws ah that makes sense! never looked into whether freesat got more channels than freeview but i'm assuming it was probably just a signal thing more than anything else lol that sucks 😭 I only remember having to that with analog tv for a while and then I guess we got our aerial fixed
