@BackPawScratch Freeview is basically a rebroadcast of what is being beamed down from that really and then retransmitting it via airwaves. They're going to lose that feed or whatever Astra decides to put up as placeholder when channel goes off.

@steveeld101 @SkyNews It's a tricky one, as it's legally innocent until proven guilty, until Ofcom says they've broken the rules, RT is classed as being impartial, so if Sky (or Freeview) were to remove "an impartial channel" for being biased, they'd be the ones breaking the impartiality rule.

@yorkyqui It will likely never hit freeview, it's an Apple TV show, exclusively on Apple TV. If you want to watch it on a laptop or tablet I'm happy to share my login. My tv has Apple TV as an app, like Iplayer...

@Jake_Kanter I look forward to @afneil explaining how that would work technically for all the tens of millions of homes that get all their TV through Freesat and Freeview. Spoiler - there is no solution that doesn't cost billions and a decade to implement

Sometimes I have to laugh & wonder. BARB (broadcasting audience research board). I'm being asked if I want to be part of the 54,000 households to be asked about a range of issues" Me? One of over a million who lost Freeview for 6 months and had no "broadcasting"... Oh **** yes

@JillStuart17 While it is currently under investigation by Ofcom to decide whether it has broken the impartiality rule, RT still holds a valid licence to broadcast, so cannot be removed by Freeview (or Sky), otherwise they'd be the ones breaking Ofcom's code.
