@MoneySavingExp Stupid tax. Why do we need to pay when I already pay Sky/Virgin for same service. People only on FREEVIEW should pay. But no, government won't agree. Where would money for these blood sucking benefitters come from? From our hard working tax payers. Useless tax.

Opting in models don’t work for public service broadcasting which has mandate to inform public in emergencies, educate, entertain+ provide balanced news. Subscription model does not work on radio or on free-to-air television systems such as Freeview.

@catladyrambles I feel your pain. Mine bought the family a new tv for Christmas. Eh?! Old one worked fine although he moaned about the signal - that's more about freeview than the tv. Now we have a ridiculously huge internet one (my 2nd firestick I bought for the backroom I bought a wk before

If your elderly and not good with technology or have poor eyesight.....FORGET IT. Go to FREEVIEW.......IT DOES’NT COST A FORTUNE a month, it’s EASY to use. SKY are pushing SKY Q because it suits THEIR PURPOSE....the CUSTOMER does not count....all they want is YOUR MONEY

  • algingersmith Alan C. Smith (@algingersmith) reported

@ElinorCooper27 @lav25th @MartinSLewis A basic problem for changing the system is that current Freeview tech is not compatible with subscriptions. You'd have to replace all boxes..currently a huge chunk of viewers using them. That idea will have to wait for next gen of tech.

  • BameWiltshire BAME in Wiltshire (@BameWiltshire) reported

@OliverDowden @HomeOfCricket @BorisJohnson Can you do something about Freeview content, please. If TV feeds into and from the culture of the nation - people are being mentally harmed by this so-called public service.
