@Johndale555 Got TalkTalk Freeview tv. BT sport through EE so can only watch on mobile or the tablet I’ve got. Probably cancel it after the free 3 months.

Internet is down, so forced to forage for a movie on Freeview. Stumbled on Equilibrium with Christian Bale and Sean Bean and woah baby is it incredibly silly dystopia. I have just watched a scene containing, and I can't believe I'm writing this, fascist tai chi.

  • langtoftlad langtoftlad (@langtoftlad) reported

@SimonMcCoyTV I do think there's been an awful lot of filler but it's not as if the BBC doesn't have three other channels, and there must be 50+ other freeview channels if one cannot tolerate the blanket coverage of the passing of a monarch who has reigned 70 years.

  • RosChappell Ros Chappell 🇺🇦StandWithUkraine ⭐️UK Rejoin 🇪🇺 (@RosChappell) reported

Does anyone know if Samsung Freesat tvs can receive Freeview like other tvs? I've been ping-ponged between @JohnLewisRetail customer services & technical support, who initially said did, then @SamsungSupport who said didn't, then JL say it needs a digital aerial. 🥴😵‍💫🌀😵

  • TangeMusic TangeMusic (@TangeMusic) reported

@VonBarronshire @petercrouch Because there isn't enough capacity to have more HD channels than there already are on Freeview transmitters, unless all the SD channels were shut down, and they can't do that yet as too many people still watch them.

  • OfficialAlgie Algie🕊️💜🎧 (@OfficialAlgie) reported

@MrWayneGarton @Kieronocall @StanCollymore There's 100s of channels on Freeview... without all the streaming sites that lots of people have... I see no issue...x

  • EastLight EastLight (@EastLight) reported

@mashcore4mums @a516digital Not sure if the small delay on BBC 1 vs News is intentionally added, or related to the feed passing through regional centres? Freeview SD pictures are poor even on "high" bitrate channels though. "Dreadful" was my initial reaction when I 1st saw DVB in 1999- this hasn't changed.

@Toughtruth5 @StGilesHighKirk Nobody had to have it on 24/7. If you did, you're stupid. I probably haven't watched 3 hours all told, because amazingly in 2022, there are lots and lots of other free channels, showing regular programmes, even without subscriptions (Freeview etc). Or maybe, just turn it off?

  • Gerrysmart99 Gerry (@Gerrysmart99) reported

@Margare62511181 Apart from a few webmail issues Eir is the way to go. SKY treated me like a nuisance caller instead of a valued customer.Maybe things have changed over the last ten years & it no longer sends legally sounding threatening letters even tho it was it's own fault. Advise: Freeview😟

  • Bute_Hoose Bute Hoose (@Bute_Hoose) reported

@srobb68 @Boukalaki @garryhooper It won't happen..... Also, Freeview is a consortium of broadcasters (of which the BBC is only part)> Remove the BBC altogether then you'll just end up with crap adverts and a larger bill to pay whichever entity comes in to take over.

  • paulwebster Paul Webster (@paulwebster) reported

Impressed to see that @TalkingPicsTV now has a Freeview Red Button service. HbbTV (Freeview Play) so older TVs might not work - and requires Internet connection.
