@Sonic_Sinclair @bbcmicrobot Technically it is, there's support for it in DVB. There's several channels on DVB satellite that uses it, not sure there's any on freeview. Certainly all the original services shutdown or moved to MHEG. The BBC mheg service was incredible but that's shutdown now too 🙁

  • chris_sucksmith Chris (@chris_sucksmith) reported from East Cowes, England

One bad thing about #Freeview TV is all the begging adverts. Ignore em all, ain't contributing towards inflated staff salaries. Plenty of local little charities.

  • Bermudgirl Marilyn McCubbin (@Bermudgirl) reported from Netley, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • dozecat007 Boris D'Burger-Zilla (@dozecat007) reported

Why is the 30 year old (bad) movie Jurassic Park on at least one Freeview channel every single week (sometimes several times per week?) #r4today

  • TheBlueUlysses Katy (@TheBlueUlysses) reported

@JenOnTheMoveUK @PaulWhitewick @All4 Similarly I found it hard to watch ITV4 live, not-on-freeview. Which is crap for the resolution.

  • PGrundberge chaiseburgers (@PGrundberge) reported

@MattBrocklebank out, on Freeview, which is often a furlong behind the action. A poor show from them, as good as some (italics) of the commentators might be.

  • LwtEmmaBird Sarah Harbour (@LwtEmmaBird) reported

And without speaking too soon to jinx anything, our Freeview signal appears to be absolutely fine at the moment... cannot understand what is causing the disruption we've been having - not changed anything in the house at all 🤔

  • jayandee48 jand (@jayandee48) reported

@FreeviewTV I will never pay for tv so will always have freeview. But PLEASE sort your tv guide out - it's so hard to read. ☹

  • Mark56623345 mark Hughes (@Mark56623345) reported

@BradTRC @a516digital Someone at work I know got fed up with the faffing about with freeview, looked into getting sky glass. Problem was his broadband provider was very unreliable after several goes to get glass working. He was about to give up. Until it was suggested changing the provider.

  • GeoffreyBrock6 Geoffrey Brock (@GeoffreyBrock6) reported

@MrRobertBob1 Indeed so. We should have a Netflix health service where those who can afford it, get it, and those who can't, get Freeview health. Is that not what our Health Secretary said?

  • SJW5678 Daniel Franks (@SJW5678) reported

@netgemtv Netgem via TalkTalk, the remote is poor not comfortable keys not spaced out and no user guide to what all the buttons do. Sound is poor, no PVR only 1 tuner, often programs clash, interface looks ok but it is just a revamp of the channel 100 freeview play guide.

  • LjStronge Tobias Stronge (@LjStronge) reported

@halldean81 @SkyUK Do they have live TV (freeview channels) and can you record, rewind etc? I would be happy to use NOW TV if it provided the same service as Virgin/Sky Glass/Satellite, but I don't think its as comprehensive?

  • BradTRC BradTRC (@BradTRC) reported

@Mark56623345 @a516digital Last time I used Freeview religiously was in 2015 - as we used it alongside Sky due to bad weather. Now due to upgrades in Sky’s technology, particularly Q, there is no point for me. The only time I would use Freeview is if my Mini boxes went down, and that fixes itself quickly!
