@Sonic_Sinclair @bbcmicrobot Technically it is, there's support for it in DVB. There's several channels on DVB satellite that uses it, not sure there's any on freeview. Certainly all the original services shutdown or moved to MHEG. The BBC mheg service was incredible but that's shutdown now too 🙁

more like imdabitch, because imdbtv was a streaming service and now its freevee. what, is this a freeview ripoff?

  • NeilNeilasher Neil Asher (@NeilNeilasher) reported

@SpoonWilsons @BBCNews No, not everyone. Anyone with Sky, Virgin, et al, would already have a box they could subscribe via. We all got STBs when the analogue signal was turned off, so we could get Freeview. How else can they police the, new, non-licence-fee era that starts in a few years time?

  • FiredupOnline We Are Firedup.Online (@FiredupOnline) reported

£50+ a month for @skytv so decided to buy a smart tv and get freeview & Netflix instead for 1/4 the price. 15+ yrs a sky customer and not one call to ask why, just a letter to tell me to reset up DD #terriblecustomerservice Adios

  • barrelsuggs Ben G (@barrelsuggs) reported

@RestoreTVHelp I’ll post your response into the Facebook Group in question. There are about 6 people reporting recent problems with Freeview through an aerial in Llantwit Major. I’ve put a generic postcode for the town into your checker and it’s an area which should have received your postcards

  • Oog Katy Moon Knight (@Oog) reported

@TheAzzo We are suckers for Sky/Virgin, and our telly has all the apps and services etc etc. Can't remember that last time I used freeview telly 😬 Our Internet is also RIDIC so we have no streaming issues at all.

  • r_usefultractor 🏳️‍⚧️ reallyusefultractor 🇺🇦 (@r_usefultractor) reported

We just got a new tv and what the actual **** is Samsung freeview? I'm pretty sure it's generated by bots because there's a whole *** Teletubbies channel and it has episodes from the original show and fan made animations stolen from YouTube

  • LaurenceBraith1 Laurence Braithwaite (@LaurenceBraith1) reported

Anyone else finding that their #Freeview signal has substantially weakened 🤔 Found recently that terrestrial channels are inexplicably disappearing from our smart TV. Not sure if they've weakened the signal to save energy. We're in South Birmingham.

  • rxtv_info RXTV Info (@rxtv_info) reported

And soon BT will be getting in on the IPTV act. It doesn't yet have a mini-box, but its YouView TV service - currently a hybrid of Freeview terrestrial & online-delivered channels is also moving towards all-IP delivery.
