@FreeviewAdvice Can you help me please. I am now relying on Freeview. My tv has HD but Freeview isn’t. How do I get my Freeview into HD. It’s not a pleasure to watch. Thank you.

  • RoboJ1M RoboJ1M (@RoboJ1M) reported from Portsmouth, England

@Sonic_Sinclair @bbcmicrobot Technically it is, there's support for it in DVB. There's several channels on DVB satellite that uses it, not sure there's any on freeview. Certainly all the original services shutdown or moved to MHEG. The BBC mheg service was incredible but that's shutdown now too 🙁

  • MatthewKing35 Matthew King (@MatthewKing35) reported from Southampton, England

@malcolmparsons @SwitchMediaAU @FreeviewAU Yes, though it's difficult to tell if it's directly a Freeview issue or an issue with the Sony TV guide.

  • MrWheeliebin Mike Edie (@MrWheeliebin) reported

What has happened to Film4 on FreeView? Garbage low bit rate video compression. Everything looks like Lego.

  • tashatam14 tashatam (@tashatam14) reported

@grantshapps @DrSpock_PhD @RishiSunak And what of country folk with NO public transport (plus crap broadband, crap mobile signal (or none), crap electric supply, no freeview signal, crap water supply, and sky-high Council Tax with virtually no services.

  • a516digital Mike (ex-a516digital) (@a516digital) reported

@EvanD @cleanfeed_ttvr @Channel4 It is. C4 usually carry two subtitle feeds. One teletext feed and one DVB subtitle feeds. Sky boxes still support teletext (even if subtitles is the only application left) Freesat devices support DVB subtitles only (same as Freeview incidentally).

  • simplicitymvl Mariska (@simplicitymvl) reported

@darrengrimes_ We had freeview outage the last few days. What a bliss….

  • SamAHarvey Sam Harvey (@SamAHarvey) reported

@pjgoodman @HammerGothic Have still never seen it 🤦🏻 Don’t have Freeview so can’t join in 😭

  • VelvetyMole VelvetyMole🌻🌱 (@VelvetyMole) reported

@Flashmaggie @rascallycake I watched some of it. I liked a show that took the piss out of wokism. Was a bit put off after reading about Andrew Neil's 'ordeal' at their hands. Also, it's so far up the freeview schedule, I never get beyond channel 81 i.e. @TalkingPicsTV - nothing beyond that worth watching!

  • tormid1951 norman kebell (@tormid1951) reported

@williamjohnmcl3 I only realised it was on Freeview. Still never nor will ever watch it #ScottishIndependence6

  • MaJules64 MaJules (@MaJules64) reported

@jasonpeacock8 @arqiva Compensation for what? A service you don't even pay for in the first place, you don't pay for Freeview, the clue is in the name. As you have Virgin Media you still have access to live TV so are not due any sort of refund.
