@Sonic_Sinclair @bbcmicrobot Technically it is, there's support for it in DVB. There's several channels on DVB satellite that uses it, not sure there's any on freeview. Certainly all the original services shutdown or moved to MHEG. The BBC mheg service was incredible but that's shutdown now too 🙁

@nahthanksthough @kennysmith21 @beffybadbelly Also worth mentioning that CBBC is on Freeview Light relays as it is broadcast on BBCA and BBCB unlike the commercial childrens channels. Bad for rural types.

@1066shrimprail Hi, I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Freeview Reception. So, we can investigate this for you, can you please DM us your postcode and house name or number? Thanks, Dylan

Bad news - the family I'm babysitting for only have @FreeviewTV No offense to Freeview, but how am I going to watch the @ChampionsLeague now? Plan B is my @btsportfootball on my ipad, but need to find WIFI & password to facilitate that. Especially if it goes to ET & penalties

  • DaveWales15 Dave Wales (@DaveWales15) reported

@AndrewM2p4c @andymcgowan001 They have to pay to broadcast via transmitters. They pay for the BBC national dab multiplex. I can't imagine subtracting one station from it saves much. They have to pay freeview, sky and freesat too. Personally I never listen to it through my tv.

  • What_JT_Thinks JT (@What_JT_Thinks) reported

Come on @bt_uk when are you going to offer an internet only TV service including Freeview. It was there for a bit then taken away citing “software problems”. When is the release date? Then I can sign up.

  • WezzRail Wez (@WezzRail) reported

@PetroPablo3 @DitsyRedOne @beffybadbelly So circumstances can't change? They may have been able to afford the TV and simply use freeview rather than paying for a service...

  • k0_shields 𝕜𝕠𝕕𝕚★ (@k0_shields) reported

ano cbbc being axed is a pure meme n it’s no that deep or whatever but it actually kind is if u think abt it… like what are the poor kids who only have freeview supposed 2 watch when 1 of like 3 free kids channels r being taken off???? kinda sad tbh :( lil me would b cryin fr

  • jackyan Jack Yan 甄爵恩 (@jackyan) reported

@RaewynScott1 I havenʼt looked into that Freeview on Demand yet but it sounds like I donʼt need to! 😯 Sounds like they want to become a streaming service and donʼt really want to do broadcast TV any more.

  • 1066shrimprail SHRIMP - Hastings (@1066shrimprail) reported

Anyone else finding that DAVE and W channels on freeview are suffering from really annoying blackout screens? (Have retuned x2 so not the set).

  • Pic889 Dimitris (@Pic889) reported

@chrisgseeger @FT This begs the question: Since you can't receive the entirety of BBC's broadcasts through generic DVB-T2 equipment (you need a special "Freeview HD" receiver), why not encrypt the service and give subscribers a CAM module to watch it? Let's see how many really want to pay for it.
