@bowlestrek Get your facts straight. Johnson is not in favour of ditching the license fee, as he knows it’s a massive vote loser. Plus they’ve now realised, they can’t go to subscription fee system, as the freeview boxes that the majority of UK households use, don’t support it.

Freeview Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • TimBolton01 Tim Bolton (@TimBolton01) reported

Just lost my TV signal. Retuned it and now only got 17 Freeview channels. WTF?

  • roy_gill Roy Gill (@roy_gill) reported

@fitgeek_uk Hard to say. I stream a fair amount of movies, TV and music, but I also use a lot of physical media (and have freeview) so if/when the internet goes down, I wouldn’t be *without* any of those entertainment options, I’d just have less immediate choice.

  • alsmiff Alsmiff (@alsmiff) reported

@FreeviewAdvice Are there any issues in SS6? We’ve had no freeview channels for over 24 hours now.

  • ASMU_Sendplight The Autistic SEND Mother Uncut (@ASMU_Sendplight) reported

I am not really “inna” the bystander fair weather friend thing. I have culled an awful lot of that today. You wanna watch you’ll have to pay. This ain’t freeview

  • Our_Lev Lev (@Our_Lev) reported

@rdllopes @TankieHater @NadiaInBC RT had considerable reach. It was freely available on freeview/satellite platforms and also online. It was cut in a blatant act of censorship - what were they scared of? People asking questions? The stupid masses being brainwashed? The freedom-loving 'west' should be horrified.

  • HanMarshyVP Abby the Tank's Wife (@HanMarshyVP) reported

@EarlFlorkin 1. I don't have a TV licence 2. I don't have HBO or Sky Atlantic 3. I only have an SD Freeview box which is super grainy 4. The only way I can watch it is it my friend illegally downloads it for me, which is obviously a bad thing

  • Mighty_Shipp Stairface Ogre (@Mighty_Shipp) reported

@Lydiarosesteph you never had to pay for it, even in your situation you can just use itvx for free, the subscription removes ads and have extra content but watching live and love island are available for free. also freeview is free so i don't understand why u wouldn't have it if u have a tv

  • hispanista Hispanista (@hispanista) reported

@thefish64 @psychpolis Never used them in the U.K. Freeview was enough + NowTV, Netflix and Prime. My fibre broadband was BT.

  • bizzie2bee Jay Kay (@bizzie2bee) reported

@jomilleweb I have no intention of cancelling my Amazon Prime, I use it for shopping, and am waiting for second series of Wheel of Time. Never had Netflix, nor any other streaming service, "making do" with Freeview. When wokes live in my shoes and pay my bills... maybe.

@bluebellchoppy He was on TV over Christmas, apparently he's a TV cook now on Food Network on Freeview/Sky.
