@PayneB44 @tomhfh @BBC Your point was you want a break from it. There’s 1000s of channels, Freeview, YouTube, Sky, NOWTV, Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, BRITBOX DVDs, Blu-rays. Boxsets. There’s never been so much content to take your mind off it. Or just turn the telly off.

Dave M (@Putneyman) reported from London, England
Only reason I mentioned that song (Tarzan Boy) is because I've been watching a lot on NOW 80s on Freeview channel 83. I didn't realise that apart from some good songs, how much crap there was as well in the 80s 😂

Colin Wiseman (@crazycol) reported from Ealing, England
@stevieboywise If that’s Freeview maybe due to high pressure issue again.
-
Jens Fallesen (@JensFallesen) reported from Hounslow, England
@leksi_p Correct. If you do not have Freeview, Sky or Virgin (or any other cable service), you should not need to pay if you never watch it.

Also, NXT UK will air on a weeks delay on the Paramount Network, which puts them on Freeview.

@virginmedia We just put freeview on tv...Wasn't a big issue.

@CStewart_CS May have had more to do with the National outage that Virgin suffered yesterday rather than just the train WiFi. A number of folk lost all broadband, tv and phone. We were lucky as it was just tv and could revert to freeview if needed. Back last night but not full service.

@virginmedia When you pay for a premium TV service and get Freeview.

Nick Mason (@nma50n) reported
@virginmedia Got to say, first problem I’ve had with the service and been with them since the Cable and Wireless days! Compensation? For what? Because you’ve missed a ten times repeated Homes Under the Hammer? There is a thing called Freeview? Plus numerous other pay to view services #ManUp

Anne (@annewitha_e) reported
@AlexMacLeod9 the tv was off, the website was down, the phone was probably being inundated with calls as it was a recorded message then it cut me off! I guess all customers were doing the same. On freeview for now, I'll check later if they're back onstream.

@CagedSlaveP I'm watching freeview at the moment, but really annoyed about paying a fair bit of money for a service I'm not getting

AnnieGE2 (@AnnieGE2) reported
@MrsWardley @FreeviewAdvice After giving up on the freeview channels, I did check again about 90 mins later before I had to leave home and the channels had returned... Still want to know what happened to cause this big outage? (Btw our separate Virgin Media cable TV service suddenly failed today too, odd.)

Avreel🧢💋 (@avsybaby) reported
@NicNic711 @VirginTV National outage. They had a power cut. Knocked out the tv and website. We’ve just got BBC1 and channel 4 🙄. However fortunately we do have Freeview so are watching that at the mo.

@petertsykes My Virgin bill this month is £92.57. I accept that occasionally there can be technological problems and that they need fixing. I can survive the trauma of having to use Freeview briefly today without whingeing about it on social media.
