Had a touch of the sads earlier, but watching Mrs Merton and Malcolm at 2am on a weird channel a long way down the Freeview and, by Christ, the writing is good. Quietly ingenious.

@colin1951uk The investment is partly in hogging empty Freeview channel numbers in the 60s,70s and 80s, so if anyone wants to launch a new service and doesn't want bumping off to the 90s on the channel list, they'll have to strike an EPG trade deal, earning That's TV a nice sum of money.

@Mark_P0x0n @LucyMPowell But I might want to watch something on freeview that requires adverts & a properly costed budget to fund (not BBC) So why should I pay for the BBC when their model is at best a tax on live TV of any sort? This is where the BBC falls down in the modern era, it's simply outdated
