Came upstairs and turned on mum's bedroom TV and, once again, it said "no signal". Re-installed for the umpteenth time but she has no BBC again. Will try again later but I'm bloody sick of it. This has only happened since #Freeview told us to retune.

I’m looking to see what original programs are on TV as it’s Saturday and what do we have on all these FreeView channels well let’s just forget BBC as it’s same-old-same-old. BBC2 1980 T/Pops? Any & Dec same old format you can bet on it! Then The New Voice old format..Crap!!

@xhi2001 that and kikis delivery service were the first 2 i watched cause it was on one of the free movie channels u get with freeview and i sat and watched them and then watched them again after that

@acraftycow Same with SP. I did the comparison sites to switch but it’s still the cheapest. No wonder Tonik went under, we were all underpaying! I’ve also got rid of any tv service & just have streaming + freeview to offset the money increase. Adulting is boring!

@LankyCarGuy Because Freeview transmitters have only a fixed number of frequencies they can broadcast a signal on. Each frequency can carry a number of separate channels, but that number depends on the quality. Reduce the quality and you can fit more channels (and more revenue) in.

@DonnaTaberer @marcus @BylineTV has formed via the grassroots and normal people (not from hedge fund managers like another TV station about to launch)... We all need to support them so that they can increase the frequency of their online broadcasts and eventually make it onto Freeview + 24/7

@YoungmanMj @Owenins That's way beyond my technical expertise, and I would expect large swathes of England can pick-up S4C via Freeview anyway? S4C would be paying for broadcasting in Wales in any event, if they could afford it, and it's the spill over that would be the problem?

@SkyHelpTeam No dish on the house. Elderly lady just wants to watch tv and wants more channels than freeview. So is this possible? Can she have sat tv without a broadband service at the property? Have you got a sales team I can talk to? would be much easier but can't find phone # on website.
