@MrAbelMagwitch A lot of University students also have access to "Box of Broadcasts" an online catchup service which can show tv programs from all the main freeview channels... they can stream BBC content on without needing a TV license.

@DUCKmagstoke Constant pixilating on tv, lose broadband when outside the living room, despite the tech giving a decent speed. Price rise every six months. More chanel choices on freeview, unbelievably. Absolute crap. Its going when i can summon up the energy.#virginmedia.

In 2021, Montgomery (as chairman of Local Television Limited) launched a rival to channel 7 Freeview service That's TV in Manchester on channel 99 and outlined plans for a new 'Northern TV Network' which would include Local TV's channels in Liverpool, Leeds and Newcastle.

Anybody else's smart TV forgotten their sign in details to some Freeview Play channels? I've lost BBC iPlayer, ITV and a couple of others. It's a damned nuisance having to sign in again with that ridiculous keyboard!

@ScarredForLife2 Bottom right ones scared the crap out of me. Up there with Davros. It was repeated last year, they showed a few Space1999s (I forget the freeview channel). But there was always some ****** in sick-bay who was mad/ perceived to be mad/ turned out to be a baddie they'd saved.
