@MrAbelMagwitch A lot of University students also have access to "Box of Broadcasts" an online catchup service which can show tv programs from all the main freeview channels... they can stream BBC content on without needing a TV license.

@bluemoon_mcfc If BT or Sky get their **** together, creating their own show (of which they already have many) and releasing it immediately on a Freeview platform would be a winning move for them. They could even go the full way and employ linekar on it 😜

  • Hausofgoochi1 Goo 🦠 (@Hausofgoochi1) reported

@favesass They're forcing them onto the internet, this is insane. We could only have Freeview growing up since we barely had internet access. This is such a ****** thing to do to poor and low income families. Watching CBBC and CITV was literally one of the only things we were able to do.

  • mangh_oe Sophie (@mangh_oe) reported

@jasebyjason I thought this ! There’s probably not enough kids watching the tv now so they’re not bothering anymore but my dad never got wifi till I was 16 because waste of money so I feel bad for the families that rely on freeview tv 😭

  • into_de_void DeVoid (@into_de_void) reported

@kelvmackenzie Can anyone answer a question for me? If the TV licence is specifically for the BBC, why must I pay for a TV licence if I "watch or record TV on any channel - via any TV service (e.g. Sky, Virgin, BT, Freeview, Freesat)" I don't ever watch BBC channels or use iPlayer....????

  • mikechildmusic Mike Child (@mikechildmusic) reported

@FreeviewAdvice Is there some sort of problem with Freeview in southern England? For weeks now, I’ve had certain channels breaking up and some even going missing completely after retuning. I have both 4G and 5G filters and had no problems at all with transmission until recently.

  • clickclackk__ red ruby 3/3 (@clickclackk__) reported

Rip CITV I’ll never forget watching Disney channel and Nickelodeon shows on CITV cos I only had freeview X

  • MaybeeitsMeee 🐝MaybeeMee🐝🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🐝🇬🇧🐝 (@MaybeeitsMeee) reported

@ITV Help!!. I am three quarters of the way through THe Bay when ITV X went back to the home screen. I cant see the end of the episode without watching it all again. I'm on ordinary freeview, but on a pc as we have a bad reception. This happens every time I watch ITV X now.

  • HeadingtonBard Alex Aris (@HeadingtonBard) reported

Is anyone having problems with @FreeviewTV at the moment through an aerial? We've only got 53 channels and can't get channels 1-6 either. #television #freeview #tv

  • WeHo_1985 Dennis (@WeHo_1985) reported

@B2theRich It was dreadful. Three out of five is extremely generous. It's the type of terrible b-movie you see on a random Freeview channel at 2pm in the afternoon.

  • skyblue_England skyblue_england ⬅︎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🇬🇧 (@skyblue_England) reported

@mrdanwalker @GaryLineker It’s time to end the license fee and allow viewers freedom of choice. With the plethora of subscription and Freeview program providers, it’s no longer necessary to have a government sponsored public service provider, with all the inherent issues about partiality that it brings.
