@ArghZombies We did that about 12 months ago and have not missed anything. We have freeview but have never used it. Ailey exist on Netflix, Prime and my Plex library. Plus we’re £100 a month better off.

@MamaMoose_Be I couldn't get the free trial last time I tried coz I am an ex Sky Digital customer. So they can do one! Get plenty to watch for free with Freeview & on apps with Amazon Firestick

@talkRADIO @calvinrobinson @PatrickChristys As I understand it, the argument is that because of poor broadband the BBC can’t move to a Netflix like service at this time. But it could be a subscription platform on Freeview - they already exist. It doesn’t need to be on broadband to be a subscription service.

Ever noticed how these long adverts for mattresses you get on freeview the people never put any undersheets, covers, blankets or duvets on the bed? They just sleep, fully dressed, directly on top of their new mattress??

@ruzzfeed @back_the_BBC Not such a chasm as it appears. The government wants to run down the Freeview system and prioritise streaming, with help from the BBC & ITV, but current broadband can't cope with 10 million people watching an England World Cup match at the same time.
