@danbloom1 @jed_mercurio Cancel Netflix, prime, Disney, sky/virgin tv, change phone contract to sim only, have freeview, shop at Aldi, no takeaways or eating out, don’t smoke or vape, don’t drink, cut down on other excess spend….just a few tips to help there.

@insimonated Thanks fella. I'm trying to get away from Virgin at the moment. Have sorted freeview now so will be calling to cancel all services shortly once I've sourced replacement WiFi provider. Virgin offered me a £2 reduction in my *almost* £100 monthly bill to remove the following:

Hi @JenBartram 1031mBar is high pressure, is it not? Just been told that my Freeview signal can't be being affected by high pressure because they've not had any high pressure warnings... 🤯

@FreeviewAdvice Hi. Just tried to call the advice line and was told "this service is not available" and was promptly disconnected :/. I am interested in getting Freeview but have questions about the boxes

@TalkTalk I used to use #RadioTime tv guide on iMac Safari, but the format's changed & made it very scatty, so I swapped to #Freeview guide, which is refusing to load. Freeview report to me that several customers experiencing same problem via #TalkTalk.

@Karen31332753 @benonwine Thats exactly the same as we keep saying... trouble is its almost as much money for just broadband as it is to include the tv. Plus we aint got a BT line to change broadband providers, & yeah I'd miss the recording. Even though I know freeview boxes can record now.

Today I had the misfortune of exploring the available programming on New Zealand's Freeview TV channels. I'm clearly not anyone's target market; to me it looks like wall-to-wall crap with brief sparkles of joy on Maori TV.
