@bowlestrek Get your facts straight. Johnson is not in favour of ditching the license fee, as he knows it’s a massive vote loser. Plus they’ve now realised, they can’t go to subscription fee system, as the freeview boxes that the majority of UK households use, don’t support it.

  • UnicornUnbound Grant (@UnicornUnbound) reported

@MarianRosin Ah, Public Broadcasting Service - had to google that...don't think we get that Channel 13 here, alas...but maybe it'll turn up on a Freeview channel...hope so!

@cliffrefc @bt_uk Then that employee is an idiot, your Freeview channels come through your aerial

  • MardyGoth Mark Bastardingtön (@MardyGoth) reported

There was hassle with Freeview switchover if you lived in Chester and South Liverpool a few years back. You'd get back reception from the Mol-Y-Parc transmitter and Winter Hill. They had to "turn down the wick" on one of the transmitters as it was sending set top boxes mental.

During the Movies on Freeview segment of this, @Rebecca_Perfect asked me what planet The Martian was set on, and I will now never not adore my co-host 👌🏽

  • Alan1mp ALAN SPENCER (@Alan1mp) reported

@bbcquestiontime @itsrobunderwood It's losing its audience because of the boring soaps & bb3 being taken off freeview. Then you've gone Internet based & I don't have the Internet in my area that is capable. I pay the license but I don't get the full service of channels on my TV I pay for. Isn't that deception.

  • BarryJWoods BJW (@BarryJWoods) reported

@JoshuaGarfield A point you have missed, we could offer a subscription to the BBC to everyone in the entire world! & that would pay for freeview BBC1, BBC2, all the national/local Radio stations, the news channel and world service for UK residents. & earn Gov revenue Something to think about!!
