@EamonHegarty I literally watched the match on Freeview via NI and check on my phone too. I was able to stream it via both the RTÉ player app and website. We have Virgin media and a ****** indoor aerial and even it picks up RTÉ Freeview signal.

Now getting 71 Freeview channels today, down from 96 yesterday. Well down from a 147 in the colder times.

@malfouru48 Every Freeview TV has a CAM interface on the rear; in simple terms, a card slot, to facilitate access to encrypted services. The BBC could encrypt the signal tomorrow and all most people would need to do is insert a card into their TV. The BBC and Gov continue to lie about this.

Horror channel no longer on Freeview and replaced by Legend channel.. I knew this was going to happen after RT News got the boot. I just can imagine the christofascists taking over the media saying it was demonic and **** … reality has become the horror channel

@lilfatkitten @virginmedia @harminderd82 It’s not easy is it. Customer service was so condescending too, fella I spoke too, just wow! Also told me I could not use the freeview that’s built into the tv, which I now know is utter rubbish. They need training

@scott_gamer @russty_russ I'm guessing they would have sold generic DTT boxes for free-to-air digital TV. Top-Up TV used to be on Freeview. Unusually the ntl:digital text service still ran and provided listings for ITV Digital channels long after Freeview had replaced it.

@virginmedia cannot watch any great sport because TV signal is down AGAIN, watching freeview now not the same but no doubt you will take full fee next month!

@FreeviewAdvice Thank you, but this still doesn't answer my question. My question was does Freeview itself (i.e. the management of Freeview) not have the authority to remove certain TV channels if they think another broadcaster could provide a better service for both Freeview and the public?
