Ok, Peanut Gallery, what is a decent news/current events show available on Freeview that I can watch for 15 minutes in the morning before work with my cereal? I can't do Piers Morgan, and BBC Breakfast IS pretty poor, I'll admit.

@Suzyiam If you have a modern-ish ‘Freeview’ aerial on your roof then you can get NZ’s free to air Freeview service. 26 TV channels and 2 radio stations (other parts of NZ it may vary, that’s here in Kāpiti). I have a 6yr old TV which gets Freeview fine, plus I use Netflix & Disney apps

@Daily_Express Saw that yesterday for the first time as it's suddenly appeared on my Freeview. Good grief it's awful!

@JennieStrife Digital freeview is still transmitted through aerials, so yeah they still work. You just need to have a freeview enabled TV or a set-top box, old TV's can't pick up the signal.
-
Nisbet Bryce
(@nisbetbryce) reported
@BootstrapCook Sometimes. The cabling should work fine so long as the box and your TV have an HDMI port. Problem might be whether the Freeview signal in your area is strong enough to be picked up by a small aerial.

@LeapfrogMark @TalkTV @iancollinsuk Most of the BBC is not suitable for a subs service, for example, no UK news programme is subscription only (even sky is on freeview) and technically it is not possible for radio stations. An advertising and sponsorship is more realistic but other media outlets will not like it

@petemorristwit Simples- the @BBC should be on Freeview or a subscription service. They've screwed the British public for too long.😡
