@jtlightbody BBC Parliament - Freeview 232, noon. However, if you want to retain your sanity, I suggest that you record it. I fear that Spaffer is going to be at his smirking worst!

How would you, technically, make a TV service through an aerial work as a subscription service? Would you make people pay for a Sky/Virgin box to enable them to receive a BBC subscription service? What about the 10 million Freeview users and 1.5m people without internet access?

  • Shakacarnage Gareth Williams (@Shakacarnage) reported

@woblis Terrible long term customer outlook. If I left for a month and came back, I'd get it for £50 a month. I think we'll go Freeview, like you say, in case we miss something, but I think the last two years has seen a huge change from live to streaming in our household.

  • ETusty Emma T (@ETusty) reported

We have freeview signal this evening. Yay. The only downside is that when there's no signal I get to control the remote and choose the channel because the OH has no idea how to get on iplayer, netflix or prime. He'd spend about an hour just finding something to watch

@Theatremonkey1 @Freeview @FreeviewAdvice Oh wow, never knew that was happening

  • BrandinyourHand Roger Tomlinson (@BrandinyourHand) reported

@jamesdoeser @bectu @MegaphoneUK The problem as most media are discussing, no viable alternative has been proposed handling issues of vast amount of free-to-air radio & television the BBC broadcasts, with no infra-structure technology that would enable any kind of charging mechanism for radio or freeview

  • JustLEAVEeu Just Leave.EU (@JustLEAVEeu) reported

Just because we’re in a “universal broadcasting bad place”, is not an excuse not to bite the bullet and move to a subscription model to fund the BBC. Yes, some people reliant on Freeview will lose out, that’s life! There are other ways to enjoy life, go 2 the pub, church, mosque

  • GiannaMarriotta Celeste (@GiannaMarriotta) reported

@GBNEWS Would like to say to silly people saying "ah yes but poor people will have to pay for subscription service if BBC gives them back their £159" No, I NEVER watch BBC cannot stand it yet have to pay. Happy with 5 Freeview channels: GB News, Talking Pictures, Horror, Blaze, Sky Arts.

@Forces_TV hi, is there an issue with Freeview signal in Sunderland area. Can no longer receive it via the freeview TV or BT box on 96. Missing my fix of cult TV.

  • Brekkietweets Brekkie (@Brekkietweets) reported

Odd to give S4C the BBC3 HD slot on Freeview now BBC3 is coming back when they could have had it after 7pm since 2016 (as BBC Scotland does). Not the long term solution though - but seems to be no long term plans at all for HD on @FreeviewTV with another HD mux will close soon.
