  @CountMoriarty @dave43law Yeah its stupid. What is the positive of switching it off? Everyone would need a fire stick type of thing and apps to watch channels. They're rubbish. There's often delay/time lag and no full access to all Freeview channels. Freeview is better

  @syncronicity100 Thanks. Briefly thought it was high pressure taking down the Freeview signal in my area again, but it was just a few seconds. Dunno if it was the same on iPlayer.

  @manumally @wazzak23 Ah for me radio is actually faster that freeview lol. At the moment seems to be just a few seconds tho. Having said that I don’t think matterface is as bad as ppl make out to be fair

  @dodgson_sally Since all the channels on Freeview carry adverts why on earth is the Govt getting involved in trying to scrap it? Surely it funds itself? Bad news for pensioners & disabled people who rely on access to tv every day. Better to scrap GB News & OfCom. @lisanandy @andyburnham

  @internetplague It was SUCH a big issue for me. Spent a lot of time fretting about it. Joined many ‘If this page gets 1 million likes, Sky Sports must keep SSN on Freeview’ pages.

  @steyn1423024 @WhiteRoofer @CollinRugg One i did want yo see that recent was the one(name escapes me, maybe "poor things"??) with Emma Stone as the dead resurrected strange girl. It seemed intriguing but I haven't spotted it on Freeview yet

  @Selene_Mariposa The law says you need to be covered by a TV Licence to: watch or record TV on any channel - via any TV service (e.g. Sky or Freeview) or watch TV live on any streaming service On any device. You can opt out n if you don’t do the above. So it is not a tax for simply owning a TV

  @KarenGr58411658 @DailyMail All paid for with the licence fee, the government does not fund TV transmission infrastructure, this is controlled and operated by the BBC. No BBC, No transmission network, no Freeview. This is why you have to pay the licence for all live TV.

  @jamzefish @BBCNews Ok, I get that you're talking about unencrypted satellite signals, but these can be controlled. Everyone will have to login to iPlayer for BBC content with some programs requiring a paid subscription. Freeview channels should remain viewable without need for a TV licence.

  Why is @ThatsTVOfficial "That's TV 2" only available on #Freeview, the weather today is playing havoc, constantly "Poor signal quality", why was the channel dropped from @freesat_tv - where the picture was never affected by "atmospherics". #ThatsTV
