@Philips No unfortunately. Lots of going around in circles. Searched the web & it seems lots of people are having same problem with aspect ratio in smart/on demand/freeview play mode, and no solution. Settings changes don’t apply. Maybe a bug on your OS? I returned and went for Samsung 😢

@stnapirrem @LukeEdwardsTele Sky is tied to a multi year deal. And if they left the market and football goes back on Freeview, is that such a bad thing?

I've been watching various reruns of Star Trek on freeview. And I can't help from wondering why the Enterprise doesn't have an IT department or at least why Starfleet Engineering doesn't have an IT division.

@dwchappie Dave, nobody who has bought a TV since analogue was turned off hasn’t got Freeview and those watching on TVs from before then will have to have a box to convert the signal.

@Complyorcry @Back_Two_Mee To @TalkTalk they are okay but the broadband is not a good as VM but it's okay; it cut the monthly bill in half. I have since dropped their tv service and bought a freeview recorder. Monthly bill for broadband/phone £38

@chronicjayne @ITV So frustrating, but I have seen a couple of people on here say they didn't have any problems watching on Freeview. I was on Sky, how about you?

Apparently the BBC et al have pledged millions to Freeview to invest in the service. Sorry, pledged MILLIONS (it's a tabloid headline). That's lovely but personally I'd just like a digital signal. It's been over a year now. There will be no licence fee payment this year. Nope.
