  @Alexandr4Denman 2034....don't worry, these buggars in control will be long gone by then. Freeview, I must be honest, I've never seen because my TV couldnt pick it up anyway. TV is now permanently off. We can find better things for pensioners to enjoy, surely?

  @KarenGr58411658 @DailyMail All paid for with the licence fee, the government does not fund TV transmission infrastructure, this is controlled and operated by the BBC. No BBC, No transmission network, no Freeview. This is why you have to pay the licence for all live TV.

  @BBCBreaking Not surprised, they are a nightmare when you cancel, even when your income changes when off work. Thankfully got out of it and went back to Freeview.

  There is never enough space on X for me to write what I need to. I still haven’t forgiven u @virginmedia for axing Thatstv2 and Thatstv3 at least now it’s not even on the menu wasn’t nice when u kept it up on the guide showing me what was on. Those channels r on sky & freeview

  Another stupid idea is the 2034 plan to turn off Freeview. In no way will rural broadband be up to providing reliable services by then..the same applies to FM/MW radio. It's ridiculous meanness dressed up as 'progress' @SarahChampionMP @KarlTurnerMP @lukeakehurst

  The government is considering the future of television distribution, which could affect the prospects of the digital terrestrial platform that is marketed at Freeview. and the public service broadcasters that fund it, wants to switch if off by 2034.

  @joshstifter ALIEN. 12yo. HBO “Freeview”. We lived in rural town that got cable tv early and I don’t think my parents even knew what HBO was. Had nightmares for months but couldn’t tell anyone because it was rated R and I would get in trouble.

  @TheBasedMother You will soon have no choice. All electrical goods will be connected to wifi. This is one of the reasons they want to ditch Freeview, because it is not a two-way service; and it is not subscription.

  @aconda_ann I am quite old fashioned as well. I did get a bargain smallish 'internet / smart' TV but no use when freezes or internet cuts off (been happening for years, with no fix). It's on a terrible indoor aerial, so I can't get most Freeview on that one but my fave usual telly: Freeview.
