@J_onathon @IndyVoices @tompeck I think the picture quality & freeview channel number let it down but the content is very good

@IndyVoices @tompeck I can't actually get it on Freeview, signal too weak in the middle of Northants! So only seen snippets but pretty much what I expected. From comments I have seen from the 'can't wait' to see it brigade the infighting and dissatisfaction is well under way, also just as expected!

@ElRaynerista There is a saying "there is no such thing as bad publicity" Many, will have never heard of GB news (Sky 115, Freeview 236), before the negative publicity but I guarantee a high amount who didn't know may have looked for it, which is great news for a fledgling channel.

@GBNEWS Hi there, congratulations on launching your great news channel. I’ve noticed that the volume on your channel is much lower than the other channels on Freeview. Is this for your tech guys to fix, or is the problem with Freeview to fix?

@jubbsxx where are you watching it? i haven't experienced much of this apart from the sound and lighting issues, but i have also been watching it on my phone. i have heard reports of most issues originating from freeview, which has bandwidth issues or something. criticism is good though!

What’s all this fuss about regarding @GBNEWS Only problem I found when watching on Freeview was the sound.

@Gbeebies If you're watching on Freeview the picture quality is likely down to most streams on the commercial multiplexes being transmitted at 544x576 then stretched to 16x9 to keep bandwidth down (thus sell more channel slots). This is down to the multiplex operator, not the channels.
