Im not very happy with sky , wind knocked out dish so a week with no tv! Had to buy Freeview box , not happy. Don’t even start me on price hike or mobile issues and then there’s the broadband! Grrrrr

@PrisonPlanet I spoke to ofcom: THEY have not shutdown RT: it is freeview & YouTube who have done this. I agree it is terrible to not let us hear all sides in this "democracy" we live in! Reminds me of stopping all opinions about Covid. Agree or not, we should have the right to hear all sides

@max_stenner I like streaming but I find its so so messy right now as its moving from public service broadcasting and isnt replicating well of what universially accessible Freesat and Freeview offerings offer. It’s more competitive but if you only one service in the UK cant compete with

@BreakIntoProg Went down at about 1645 when they lost their SES feed. Without the Astra satellite they can't feed the Freeview platform.

@helenmccusker @neighbours Had the same problem, watched it all the time on BBC, then it went to channel 5 and I couldn't get C5 so had years of missing it and then have never watched C5 since having Freeview & don't buy TV guides anymore so have no idea what is on normal TV & never watch live TV anymore

@Richard66629722 @florencerounda2 You can cancel the sky TV service if you want and it becomes a Freeview TV. Or you could plug in another cable service if you want. Just won’t have the same voice controls. But the voice control annoys me anyway as it is so buggy.

@Dez45346395 @alan_shaefer EU ban means Luxembourg based SES shut down their feed of RT. Sky and FreeSat receive their feed from SES, it's likely that Freeview received from the same source.
