@MrAbelMagwitch A lot of University students also have access to "Box of Broadcasts" an online catchup service which can show tv programs from all the main freeview channels... they can stream BBC content on without needing a TV license.

@itvhub Why can’t we watch live tv please? Relegated to 8 bit graphics on “normal” tv because the freeview signal is so bad.

@FreeviewAdvice Hi we've got no signal and very few channels that work on our Freeview TV. We've retuned it lots of times and each time we get fewer channels. Now the TV channels don't work at all. We are in the SO area if that helps

@bigpapablu @itvfootball I don’t have a sky or freeview box! I stream everything and have very good internet so it’s never an issue haha

@Fi_Me1 I'm a cheapskate, I pay the cheapest Netflix. But that is good for Sky. Couldn't do that here - would confuse the OH - he still hasn't worked out how to watch Prime or Netflix, so he's still watching the dull repeat awful movies on Freeview!

@mark_simpson @jamesrhamilton @floongle Sorry to interrupt, but I was scratching my head for ages when I got my Samsung 4K TV. Apparently they reckon it's a feature for "upscaling" SD pictures on the built-in Freeview tuner.,without realising it makes some SD channels look even more bad than they normally are.

@dramachannel It'd be more entertaining if Freeview would provide the channel with a decent signal!😠

@DetroitBORG Last time I checked, there’s no way to watch live tv channels? Seems like a missed opportunity to get people using Apple TV. Every Freeview PVR box I’ve had has been crap, the Virgin / TiVo box was good - just too expensive.
