@bbcemt @BBCOne When will this be sorted? I understand it’s expensive on satellite. But I watch on Freeview so already get a regionally transmitted HD service, you just need to give me the correct video!? Even if local the content is upscaled.. #bbc #hd

@HelloSanctuary no TV input on sky or Freeview. Contractor for this came this morning. Can't get into the AV equipment cupboard. Can't get through to sky. Utterly shambolic way to treat Tennant's. Who runs a business like this??

@Mark56623345 Apparently you can watch test transmissions on Freeview. Not sure how though as I've never had Freeview before.

in the end dropped the landline (haven't used it in years) and dropped the tv package (we're watching everything either online or catchup or on freeview - which, weirdly, in HD seems to be a better quality). Knocks from 56 (+4 increase) down to £46 (and no increase)

BBC Radio Nottingham

Due to technical issues, transmission via 103.8FM may be affected between 12pm and 2pm today. But don't worry! You can still listen to BBC Radio Nottingham online, on Freeview, or by tuning over to DAB 📻 We're sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Fog! Temperature Inversion! Weird things may happen to your Freeview signal tonight and tomorrow. Don't retune! (Unless your hobby is DXing and you want to see if you can get some out-of-region/foreign services.)

@PeterBoneUK @DefundBBC Would like a choice to pay for it or not as the BBC is not a critical service. Currently I pay it to watch other Freeview channels the BBC does not interest me but I have no choice. I have to pay them to watch channels that have adverts. Does not feel right at all.

@kennethtwist @PeterBoneUK Then don't pay if the BBC is a subscription service. There will be FREEview. The poorest in society would appreciate not be threatened with fines or prison for watching television.

@WalkingRichard Trying to get my GenX friend to watch more TV. There is LOADS on Freeview channels you cannot get streaming. Streaming catalogues are horrifically narrow And watching something on a whim when you come across it also expands your exposure to stuff you'd never select on a streamer
