@steveboswell @gsvalentine 2013/14 Samsungs certainly did - support for MHEG-IC was part of getting certified with Freeview HD logo.

  • Jayne82526450 🎈Jayney🎈 (@Jayne82526450) reported

@photomikeyhere @ajcdeane Freeview has to be the worst - hundreds of channels and nothing on any of them!!

  • AmateurInvest15 Amateur Investor (@AmateurInvest15) reported

@RogersWork @binarybits @timtimothyboom Believe it or not here in the UK we only had 4 free to air channels for most of my childhood. Since digital we also get 30ish freeview channels, but they are largely crap. Most people pay for something on top, Netflix, Sky, Virgin etc...

  • Buzzle_70 Susie B 💫 (@Buzzle_70) reported

So I got rid of Sky now and noticed on the Freeview guide you can instantly go back half an hour and watch catch up without watching live tv. #DefundTheBBC I might cancel mine as watch mainly YouTube and Netflix these days.

  • steveboswell Bozz (@steveboswell) reported

@a516digital Oh that's interesting. I wonder why I couldn't get it to work. In any case, services like Ketchup's Freeview-play compatible service seem to be the way forward now.

  • befriendabacter Matt Lloyd Jones (@befriendabacter) reported

@MilesKing10 I think they discontinued iPlayer/4OD support for PS3 so might be this. Freeview box might be a workaround?

  • EileenTurner8 Eileen Turner (@EileenTurner8) reported

@rorybremner This sounds like an excellent idea. It works for all children if its on freeview without the need for Internet. The only problem I can see is getting someone to take it on quickly.

  • little_mavis Mary Wombat 🐝 (@little_mavis) reported

@miss_mcinerney The govt could have negotiated access to a Freeview channel for their beloved Oak & sidestepped at least some of the issues with internet access

  • GreavesIan Ian Greaves (@GreavesIan) reported

@worldoftelly The Sky Arts signal on Freeview tonight is more shocking than Johnny Rotten, so I'll have to bow out.

  • Jpofgwynedd Jeremiah Savant 🕯️ 🦠 (@Jpofgwynedd) reported

@mattprescott @OakNational Someone may have mentioned it, but not all Freeview channels are available everywhere: either the network will need a massive boost, or certain universally received stations will need to be co-opted during school hours.
