@scotthatley @a516digital @ukdtt Freeview is very poor under the relay service, if they decide to bring in an ip fallback option, that should be there first priority,

  • Davidp1103 Davidp (@Davidp1103) reported from Snodland, England

Continually frustrated by @TalkTalk and its inconsistent service and performance. Have today purchased a freeview recorder to replace their box and will be actively looking for new broadband provider.

  • arcarver87 Alex R Carver Author (@arcarver87) reported

Bloody great. Apparently there's planned engineering works on the Mendip #Freeview transmitter so we can't get a single bloody channel. Why BT uses Freeview for half their channels instead of transmitting them all through their net service I don't know.

  • Mark56623345 mark Hughes (@Mark56623345) reported

@a516digital Its interesting though, i also read with interest about the freeview fallback scheme, filling gaps in reception using iptv formats, i have the internet, so no problem there, i can get channel box, britbox, disney+ etc on my tv.

@FreeviewTV having major signal problems all day today, either no signal at all or scrabbled signal on all channels. Did a retune & now only have 35 channels. What’s going on Freeview this a terrible service

  • Mark56623345 mark Hughes (@Mark56623345) reported

@a516digital Oh yes, forgot about this, thats rearing its ugly head, more problems for freeview, com 7 springs to mind here,

  • rhydsnewi Rhydian Edwards (@rhydsnewi) reported

@LankyCarGuy Because Freeview transmitters have only a fixed number of frequencies they can broadcast a signal on. Each frequency can carry a number of separate channels, but that number depends on the quality. Reduce the quality and you can fit more channels (and more revenue) in.

@Darksparks1 @thewle Not giving up, can't vote because there is no choice other than LibLabCon. Say what I think on twitter but it's just pissing into the wind. Generally I'm up for a laugh, Freeview, Sky, Netflix and Amazon Prime mainly crap but have Audible and Kindle unlimited too.

  • a516digital Mike (ex-a516digital) (@a516digital) reported

ITV is to close its SD service in the West Country, Yorkshire and Central East regions for viewers with Sky or Freesat. These regional news services will only be available in HD. There are no changes on Freeview or Virgin Media.

@LynseyAnneWhite @eamonngriffin An analogue TV can still show analogue pictures sent down the aerial cable by a video (vcr), satellite (sky, freesat, eutelsat), cable, or freeview box
