@twarrestrial @rugbyleagueontv Very true. The quality difference between Freeview SD and iPlayer on a Fire TV Stick, even with my slow connection, is stark. Plus, if you watch something as a stream, it is automatically logged in the official viewing figures, which won't happen on FreeView.

Once you've got netflix you realise how many utterly crap films there are, they're a waste of electricity. Even what I thought of as rubbish films when I only had freeview now look top 10%

@MammaTort It is a streaming service- I think a £5 a month. Really should be on Freeview but I don't think the new series will be on yet.

So now I have Virgin requesting their Hub back (no problem)… and telling me to disconnect the co-axial cable from their socket and cover the socket with a cover. Urm I can’t do that or I’ll have no Freeview signal.

I have a suspicion the Freeview engineer who came to “fix” my connection a while ago is responsible for this madness. He spent hours swopping around cables. I couldn’t check what he’d done because the cables are inaccessible to me (and the Virgin Hub was out of reach!)
