Tommy D (@TomDennison12) reported@FractalDoctor @DailyMail TV and radio is all that many elderly people have for comfort, especially living on their own with limited mobility, so yes, taking away Freeview is a bad idea. I doubt if too many 80 to 90 year olds have a fast broadband connection !

sci (@SimonHayterUK) reported@2810jeremy @BROKENBRITAIN0 It's not the TV set we pay a license for here in the UK, it's any broadcast, BBC, ITV, CH4, CH5 and Freeview, including on-demand BBC iPlayer. You do not need a license to play games, dvds, most of netflix prime etc, that's why so many are cancelling it, we are paying for ****.

If you have a lower use broadband package you will need to pay for unlimited use. That could hit people on lower incomes. Also had to reboot it a few times, too technical for some.

It's a complete con for the companies to save supplying Freeview. 🤔🤔🤔
