@LlamaBusiness @skytv Bailed on them last year, never looked back Unless you live in the sports channels, look at what you get for your £, then see what would be free on freeview/freesat & what is on other services like Netflix

That's your lot on this issue. Nothing more to say. Consider this the 10-minute freeview on Babestation and make do with it... 😎

'Serving the colours' chat belongs with guff about the 'Queen's shilling': consigned to **** period drama. Meaningless waffle. If you talked like that in the Mob, you'd be laughed at. The market for that tripe is Walter Mitty civilians with a cockstand for WW2 docs on Freeview.

Apparently it's not just ITV4, most of the Freeview movie channels are "interrupt a movie with 5 minutes of celebrity/sports news".

@Mark56623345 @a516digital I'm currently a Sky Q customer as it's what I have at my new build apartment, Freeview and Freesat don't quite fit my uses but for as a basic level it's not too bad and fall back to Freeview when very severe rain hiders reception

TV signal vanished last night again and still isn’t back. One week after fire was put out Freeview say 2+ more weeks to fix. It is staggering to me that the biggest transmission aerial in the country could have been decimated so quickly and with no real contingency plans.

@a516digital He then changed it to vertical. Came back down, said that's £240 payable to freeview, he would be back in the morning as there were other jobs.

@Adam_Peterkin They use the 'Freesat home transponder', sitting alongside the signal that delivers the Freesat EPG. Unlike the current TV back-up for Freeview multiplex PSB2 via satellite, the DAB multiplexes are not broadcast in a format that your average satellite receiver can handle.

@a516digital What's needed however is to change the technology used and support a better system, such as DVB T2. I don,t see streaming as a threat to freeview or freesat for that matter. As , the title says it's free. Streaming is all paid for. Just ask my neighbours!.
