StuN UK (@StuN_UK) reported from Sheffield, England@bowlestrek Get your facts straight. Johnson is not in favour of ditching the license fee, as he knows it’s a massive vote loser. Plus they’ve now realised, they can’t go to subscription fee system, as the freeview boxes that the majority of UK households use, don’t support it.

Ali-Pan (@alison_pannell) reported@Jenny_1884 @whinestop I believe the BBC needs to change it's funding model - preferably to a subscription service as using advertising would have negative effects on current Freeview channels. I would like to see a system similar to Sky so you could choose your subscription level.

Charles Stuart (@FurryfeaturesUK) reported@lippyent Star Trek (TOS). Every weekday evening when I’m not working on Legend, Freeview channel 41.
-
Martin Dalton (@martindalton5) reported@ABridgen This is a government tax on the people. Make the BBC pay pre view via iPlayer with a limited free service of 1 channel on Freeview/freely called BBC Mix

It was actually a few quid lower. I only pay £20 odd the internet, and

🇮🇪NOLA Gooner🇵🇸 (@NolaGooner) reportedScrolling the freeview channels this past weekend a familiar movie title popped up, Fever Pitch. "Uh, a shame it's the stupid Jimmy Fal... Oh, wait, is that Mark Strong??" It was!
-
Blake (@BlakeAntcliff) reported@SheLovesTweets @theipaper Freely TV's are the same as Freeview and Freesat, the problem is Internet only doesn't take into account people who live in blackspots and barely get anything much better than old school dial up. Nor does it account for anyone who doesn't want/have broadband.

Tommy D (@TomDennison12) reported@FractalDoctor @DailyMail TV and radio is all that many elderly people have for comfort, especially living on their own with limited mobility, so yes, taking away Freeview is a bad idea. I doubt if too many 80 to 90 year olds have a fast broadband connection !
