@HarrietSergeant @darrengrimes_ What’s your solution? Obviously advertising is out of the question and it has to be kept on freeview to allow accessibility for all, so what do you propose?

@OhBlimey Never on before 4pm, rarely on after 10pm. No news or current affairs. Sky Arts (via Freeview) or BBC4 when possible. The soaps basically are just *on*, not heavily invested in.

In the meantime, transfering the signal to a more sturdy temporary mast will result in 2,500 households losing Freeview, mostly near the Durham coast. This is because the mini-mast isn't tall enough to clear the edge of the North York Moors, blocking line of sight. -2-

I have contempt for Freeview which expanded tonight when I switched to the Drama Chanel to watch what I thought would be a new "The Last Detective". True to form Freeview, this incompetent producer of rubbish TV was putting out yet another repeat. Close Freeview Down.

@bbchealth BBC could be a service reaching out 24/7 to include the people who work long, late hours and have poor access to the Internet. Instead we have a mental diet of murder killings and sad repeats. Freeview is failing in its remit to educate and inform. You could have an NHS channel?
