RoboticTextMongler2000 (@SlightlyRobotic) reported@dangermouse2 @alanshearer @DannoMkII The service isn't the BBC, it's freeview channels and other live TV channels. You don't have to pay it just because you own a device that could do that, only if you use it for that.

I don't have an aerial & just have the Netflix, Prime, Disney & YouTube apps on my tv. I have the Apple TV app atm as I get it free with my phone contact til mid April but I never even watch it.

Paul Carmichael (@PaulCarmichaelV) reported@SZgoesCrazy @BBCBreaking I think that programming for disabled people, educational resources for children, maintaining the Freeview transmitter service for the poor and elderly is all worthwhile. You apparently don’t. We can agree to disagree.

This applies to any device.

If the TV licence is specifically for the BBC, why must I pay for a TV licence if I "watch or record TV on any channel - via any TV service (e.g. Sky, Virgin, BT, Freeview, Freesat)" I don't ever watch BBC channels or use iPlayer....????

Brekkie (@Brekkietweets) reported@WhoPotterVian I never had an issue with ITV Hub but ITVX just crashes all the time. Took their advice eventually and uninstalled it and reloaded it and now it doesn't work at all. And it works on less devices than it did before - even on a new Freeview Play device bought just last year

Usy (@UAhmed) reported@bluemoon_mcfc If BT or Sky get their **** together, creating their own show (of which they already have many) and releasing it immediately on a Freeview platform would be a winning move for them. They could even go the full way and employ linekar on it 😜
