@yvonnemurphy53 Never had Sky just make do with Freeview and Netflix that’s an awful lot to be paying!

@Lapsedcat Yeah, BBC2 never did a ten minute freeview or anything. See also, Pan’s People, Carry On films, Confessions films. It was worse for the Victorians, getting all hot under the collar over a piano leg.

@MoneySavingExp Got tired of paying for a service we didn’t use. Bought a Freeview box and have never looked back

@Samsmilew @RonMooreMoreRon Hello Samantha. Freeview channels are all that many receive. In 2021 the BBC chose to show the same program about the DofE across all its national TV and radio stations. Folk never had the option of switching over to another BBC channel.

@Nettleshippy I don't know many people who only have four or five channels. In fact, I don't know any. Freeview has dozens. Licence payers don't get to dictate content; never have. It was one day. Making a formal complaint seems OTT

@MoneySavingExp Only option for us is Sky unless I want a streaming service like Netflix or Amazon Prime but then a need decent broadband to too. Found Freesat wasn’t much better than freeview and Virgin isn’t installed by me so not an option

@LozzaFox Simple solution - use your remote, most TVs these days have Freeview and a lot have Sky or Virgin, so plenty of other channels to watch.

@MoneySavingExp I switched from Virgin because of constant problems, including failure to collect my direct debit. Am now with Freeview which is great value for money!

@AnasSarwar If the TV licence was abolished and replaced with paid ads, the option to subscribe would be there and the elderly could simply have freeview. NO TV LICENCE and you could concentrate on real issues. This is like NO. 1050 on the list of things needing addressed. Get SNP OUT!

@nowaffle Never more TV choices, even just on Freeview. No-one making anyone watch BBC.
