Ali-Pan (@alison_pannell) reported@Jenny_1884 @whinestop I believe the BBC needs to change it's funding model - preferably to a subscription service as using advertising would have negative effects on current Freeview channels. I would like to see a system similar to Sky so you could choose your subscription level.

Marky Mark (@MarkyMark16700) reported@bmstewart2004 My mother had Sky since 1997, they kept hiking the price -nothing extra. She was paying £55 p/m for basic TV, most is free on Freeview. She cancelled. Suddenly they could slash the price. She said no — should’ve offered that before. Absolute con merchants. Never trust Sky.

sci (@SimonHayterUK) reported@2810jeremy @BROKENBRITAIN0 It's not the TV set we pay a license for here in the UK, it's any broadcast, BBC, ITV, CH4, CH5 and Freeview, including on-demand BBC iPlayer. You do not need a license to play games, dvds, most of netflix prime etc, that's why so many are cancelling it, we are paying for ****.

Freeview is the biggest digital platform in the U.K. - used by a lot of peoole aged 60, a % of the licence fee helps maintain that service. 1/2

Carol Jane (@hebe_jane) reported@BigNGandBertie @sleafordmods I bought a Firestick for around £25. All the Freeview channels are available without Prime. The ITV app is incredibly slow and glitchy through my set top box/DVR, but works well on the Firestick.

LDH Marketing (@LDHMarketing) reported@RetroKeithyD @dave43law I've got Freeview and Freely. Freely is great where you have bad reception. But it eats data. If you have a lower use broadband package you will need to pay for unlimited use. That could hit people on lower incomes. Also had to reboot it a few times, too technical for some.
