@GBNEWS Finally on air .The 1970s graphics are almost bearable but the complete inability to produce any broadcast quality sound is not. Fix it please then I can try and listen to you .I watch on freeview in London.

Some of my gammon acquaintances have asked me how they can access GBeebies if they don’t have FreeView. Because I’m a helpful sort of person, I’ve told them that they can achieve exactly the same effect by sitting down and watching a fish tank filled to the top with dog ****.

@Jay_Beecher @GBNEWS @afneil Agreed. The whole production value needs dialling up. The sound issues, syncing and people talking in the background need sorting ASAP. Also watching through Freeview it's non HD, you forget how awful that non HD world was/is!

@TheWeeder001 @LeslieH24367191 @GBNEWS The sound seems slightly better from the web feed. Glad to hear the sync issue that was evident on the Freeview feed on launch night is fixed.

@iMultitudes Probably aggressive compression as there’s only so some much bandwidth on freeview. You get artefacts when you push audio down quality levels.

Ironically I can’t retune my @FreeviewAdvice to get @GBNEWS due to technical issues with the Freeview service

@JolyonMaugham I took a look at it, just to see the bias. Something wrong with their sound, quiet and as if in a tunnel. Sky news reporting from Scotland Yard, 236 Freeview GBN the great deal with Australia. The deal could make farmers go out of business. I watched 6 minutes, never again
