@AnnieCricket At that time we switched to Virgin but have subsequently returned to sky following problems with getting decent tv service through virgin. My parents just use a freeview box for their tv or you can get tv with inbuilt freeview now

@PullarStrecker yeah, that's an interesting development. The market for watching NZ's so-called terrestrial TV channels seems a bit uncertain right now with the Freeview on demand service set to end, and Sky might be one of the better options.

EarthxTV a new TV station on Freeview starts this 7pm this evening with a programme is about faith leaders calling on global leaders and communities to take action on climate change. Seems to be a from Us & focussing on environmental and justice issues, no idea on pedigree…

Question. Our TV is old + our digi box is awful. So until I fork out for a new TV – what is the best streaming stick – Chromecast / Amazon / Roku? Do any also do Freeview?

@MattyladKRO @virginmedia I'm sure there will be other providers trying to do the same worried people will cancel services due to cost of living increases. We just cancelled SKY TV as were paying £50 a month to pretty much watch channels that are available on freeview.
