Gutted that I had to cancel Virgin Media — I couldn’t afford it this month and can’t afford a proper Freeview box to record shows! I hate being skint

  • timclark59 Tim Clark (@timclark59) reported

@kuyt01 I cancelled last year got fed up with them treating a long time customer like crap Got Freeview and a now tv stick don't miss it one bit.

  • Davidp1103 Davidp (@Davidp1103) reported from Gravesend, England

@Complyorcry @Back_Two_Mee To @TalkTalk they are okay but the broadband is not a good as VM but it's okay; it cut the monthly bill in half. I have since dropped their tv service and bought a freeview recorder. Monthly bill for broadband/phone £38

@TriffidFarm a just and probing question! but while the package with the new router in was just delivered i am not going to plumb it in tonight as i am tired and it's a morning task so im watching terrestrial freeview w/the sound turned down

  • chrisalfw Chris Williams (@chrisalfw) reported

@PhilWilliams These channels have not said no, they have said they havent been approached as yet. I opposed the creation of the Premier League but i support this Super League. Inevitable it will be on a streaming provider rather than Freeview, Cable or Satellite.

@Philips No unfortunately. Lots of going around in circles. Searched the web & it seems lots of people are having same problem with aspect ratio in smart/on demand/freeview play mode, and no solution. Settings changes don’t apply. Maybe a bug on your OS? I returned and went for Samsung 😢

  • mickhsmith Mick Smith (@mickhsmith) reported

@58paulb @Bigdogdigs Always used to buy Panasonic. Then I had a hard drive fail on a freeview box. Panasonic were no help at all, because they didn’t want me to repair it myself.

  • H_MOORE4 Hugh (@H_MOORE4) reported

@SBunching I disagree, more football is available to watch than ever but virtually none is on free to air. 1st Prem game I watched live was actually in a stadium, we didn’t have Sky in my house so I never had the opportunity. I became a fan through FA cup and champs league games on freeview

  • Stevemanics Steve (@Stevemanics) reported

@AndrewC_53 @RealGaryWebster I've never had Sky and never will. They did the same to TV series for years - wait for it to become popular on terrestrial (showing my age) and Freeview, then price them out of renewing to try to force people onto Sky if they want to continue the show.
