Haven't had BBC channels since the retune, I've noticed I'm missing #BBC4 the most, damn I'm getting old. #freeview

So #freeview told me to retune my tv's which led me to lose all signal apart from one in front room as that's via freesat, so no signal upstairs. I'm now liable for the cost of an aerial engineer to fix it. Been told to complain to my local MP if I'm not happy.

@SooksThe @GBNEWS Deffo ,👍 we can get it on the main TV through virgin but can't watch on bedroom tv on freeview as signal is from a relay mast. Luckily it's a smart tv so can get YouTube. Great news.

@JackPittBrooke Going on to the Super League, would those owners have wanted games on the BBC or another Freeview channel? They might even have considered a Super League version of MOTD too much content not to put on their own streaming service or in a very expensive TV contract

@dramachannel The trouble is the general bit rate and 540x544 resolution are so poor on Freeview that even the adverts and trailers frequently look like they are being played from a badly worn VHS tape, add archive material to that and it becomes a blocky detail free mess.

Aside, imho the effort here to give them their own show vs. Doing the same for the (much larger) Asian populations implicitly shows whites (+other groups) don't think they are capable without help (contra the scores of Asian channels on freeview).

@Chris_Ince The issue is they can only have 2 streams at any one time as part of their licensing deal. So better to have it on Red Button at all times than fill 2 main channels where other shows would usually be on. % without access to Freeview for red button channel is surely very small?

@3V3N1NGST4R Ah ok I guess that makes sense, I never had Netflix so that's probably why I never saw it, I was just stuck with an abundance of old DVDs and VHS tapes and freeview channels as a kid lol Most of it had TF somehow

@firstdogonmoon 7minus. Commercial TV or freeview gets a big NO from me regardless of what's on. Some exceptions made for SBS which should never have been forced down that road.
