@giffgaff why the heck is the “slower data” once I use my 20gb 4g allowance comically bad. Like my phone is barely usable. Joke of a “network.” That’s not even an exaggeration, sending messages takes 3 minutes. I timed it.

  • Yorksims John Woods (@Yorksims) reported

@DrMarkCarrigan @giffgaff The 80GB fast speed limit only applies to the "Always on"data in the £25 goodybag, if you spend an extra tenner and go for the £35 one you'll have no restriction issues and it'll be impossible to breach the FUP in the time you need it for.

  • GlosredP GlosRed&Proud (@GlosredP) reported

@matthewkilford I am with Tesco / o2 and have issues with speeds at the CG, my dad is with EE and has no problems so switching to them. Any mvno (voxi, giffgaff etc) will have slower network speeds compared to the main company (vodafone, o2)

  • bndouglas Brian Douglas (@bndouglas) reported from Bangor, Northern Ireland

@bt_uk I might add that my house doesn’t work without internet; I’m not just being a diva, it’s a real problem. No internet means no heat, limited burglar alarm (people in my neighbourhood are trying doors) etc. I’ve managed to cobble together something with a 4G giffgaff dongle

  • ClimateRemind daily climate reminder 🤖🔥🌍 (@ClimateRemind) reported

@bays_frederick Too slow to use the internet, and battery doesn't hold a charge. I didn't say in thread but instead of replacement I could just fix battery for £40 Yeh Giffgaff here is only £5/mo And yeh I do need it for work

  • Mykiel_B MikeKAB (@Mykiel_B) reported

@Chlozbo Hi Chloe, this is not all @giffgaff doing but your device too. If it is an iPhone you need to change your number to the ported (old number) then switch off iMessages and FaceTime all in your settings. And switch them back on. This should fix it. If it isn’t an iPhone, post back

  • awoleddy Ed Mallon (@awoleddy) reported

@giffgaff Neither of those those things helped. It’s a problem on the account. Also, I bought a goodybag on the 20th Dec but it never got activated.
