They have answer sheets they don’t deviate from & companies r affronted when we get pissed off 😡

@simonnread @HSBC_UK That is globally and across all business lines. Are you suggesting they keep loss making branches open and that is funded by other clients elsewhere in the business? If people no longer want that service you stop providing it, simple as that.

@agw1437 @bouldie @HSBC_UK I’m not suggesting the govt should run the bank, just give money so that customers who need extra help can incentivise firms to act in their interests more

  • hugospops DubLdubya (@hugospops) reported

    7 working days now @HSBC_UK !

  • nikhil_woodruff Nikhil Woodruff (@nikhil_woodruff) reported

@agw1437 @bouldie @HSBC_UK Well, a good business is profitable. And the clients are voting -with their money- that they don’t need as much staff and would prefer better services instead. The people who need extra help are just not a significant client base, so no incentive to help them.

@HSBC_UK 30 minutes and still waiting and no reply from your customer care number...ridicoulous service #hsbc - all this to just order a debit card

  • emmaballltd Emma Ball 💙 (@emmaballltd) reported

@HSBC_UK Not really- I’ll be totally honest here- we’ve had a great rapport with the bank for years- being really busy it’s hard to get out of the office during working hours to get to the bank/post office etc- so they kindly bank them for me as I pop it thro letterbox with slips

  • Mark1_Cooper Mark Cooper (@Mark1_Cooper) reported

@BBCBreaking I don’t think @HSBC_UK really cares what it’s customers think and see them as an inconvenience. This policy of online has been pushed on customers which is fine until there is an issue. An older generation that is not online is being increasingly isolated.

  • nikhil_woodruff Nikhil Woodruff (@nikhil_woodruff) reported

@agw1437 @bouldie @HSBC_UK It shouldn’t be the responsibility of private companies to handle this though. Government should give people with difficulties more money to access the extra help they need, just like any other disability

  • nikhil_woodruff Nikhil Woodruff (@nikhil_woodruff) reported

@agw1437 @bouldie @HSBC_UK Yes and market forces are very clearly pushing firms to drop customer-facing staff. I think we agree this is bad for a small minority. So the question is who subsidises help for the minority: firms or govt
