@HSBC_UK Currently sucking my life away, as I hang on ’phone waiting to speak to an agent. And it’s not a self-service issue that I can pay fees to the bank for the privilege of doing myself online, so I need to speak to someone. ’Phone battery about to die before I get through!

@HSBC_UK Help! I can't log on to my account because my secure key has run out of battery. The new one took two weeks to arrive and I still have no activation code for it. I can't contact anyone. This bank is really hopeless for customer service... it's never been this bad before.

@HSBC_UK What you mean is that there were insufficient staff employed. And if more people are phoning to speak to you, that could be because you’re shutting branches everywhere. Not everything can be done via self-help on line: Do we have total access to your internal banking systems?
