@HSBC_UK your customer service is awful. Asking for something to be sorted, but get told, it should be processed soon, but I don't have the authority to do it here. This happened last year trying to set up a student account too.

@HSBC_UK Maybe arrange a call back sooner than 3 days! Hardly suggests my complaint is being taken seriously, I was even advised the call wasn’t worthwhile and I may as well go straight to the FOS! Top class service from a complaints team!

@soie_c @HSBC_UK I’ve had the same issue for the last couple of days. Customer service are ridiculously bad. Still no activation codes coming through sms. Issue my end apparently on a new phone 🙃.

@HSBC_UK just gone to pay a cheque in on the banking app and it's saying it's too much and I have to visit a branch. Only issue is you have closed all the local branches! Any suggestions!

@HSBC_UK No it doesn't, when I select a digital secure key it shows this error. Tried on a desktop, iPad and phone and all say the same thing.

Well done @HSBC_UK. I eventually got a reply to my asking “how on earth do I get in touch from overseas without a working telephone banking security number?” was just told I’d need my telephone banking security for this. #HSBCsux

@HSBC_UK That is correct - tried that and still having the same issue. Tried clearing cache and cookies on iPad and desktop and still having the same issue.
