@HSBC_UK your customer service is awful. Asking for something to be sorted, but get told, it should be processed soon, but I don't have the authority to do it here. This happened last year trying to set up a student account too.

oh @HSBC_UK, when I saw an update to your iOS app today, I thought you'd updated it to remove your deliberate block on ios16 beta but sadly no. I still can't get in...

@_dannyvfx @HSBC_UK @chrissmith7979 it’s a beta, not an official release, you take the risk of apps not working if you install it, as is very clearly outlined when installing. no app developer will guarantee functionality until official release in September

Don't bother applying for the switch offer that @HSBC_UK is offering - met all the criteria by close of May and still haven't received the £170 payment despite 4 half hour calls to their (overseas) "support" centres. Cc. @MoneySavingExp who I found the offer through originally

@HSBC_UK The issue was with the app supporting both 32 bit “legacy” iOS devices as well as iOS 15. The delay was because for a while; it couldn’t support both. That and HSBC don’t trust beta release security, which is fastidious of them, until they can test for themselves.

@HSBC_UK I can’t used telephone banking as the security questions relate to recent transactions which I have no access to. You seem to be the only bank which doesn’t support this. What are the other banks doing different? There are plenty of people on Twitter telling you what the issue is

@HSBC_UK initially said despite the error they couldn’t reopen the acct, now they say they can ‘after an investigation’. Meanwhile our charity is stuck and unable to receive and send funds

@HSBC_UK @chrissmith7979 So people on iOS 16 are just expected not to use banking? We need the app updated so that we can log on using a computer, please fix this asap

@ShappiKhorsandi @HSBC_UK If it’s the branch I’m thinking of, you’re probably better off asking the horse statue outside for help

@HSBC_UK @HSBC_UK those are *my* problems though. Your app isn’t incompatible because of an unexpected bug. It’s incompatible because the HSBC app is checking the OS version and actively refusing to run on the beta. You’re the only bank to do that and thus disadvantaging some customers
