@HSBC_UK Hi. Visited our local HSBC (who arranged our mortgage ) to ask a couple of questions and discuss a change. Was told that nobody can help in branch now and that everything must be done online (or on the phone where we just get left on hold for ages). Doesn’t seem right!

Clearly some big issues at @HSBC_UK - having tried to upgrade my account twice already and been kept on hold for over an hour, I thought I’d try on Saturday. Hour and twenty minutes so far… Clearly they don’t want my custom. Avoid.

@HSBC_UK Thanks Saffron for your private message. Quoting that it’s “Terms and Conditions” isn’t really an answer though. There’s no fundamental reason why interest rates couldn’t be amended if you really wanted to “help”. Would you not agree?

Impressed with @HSBC_UK chat/support bot driven system. Needed a tax certificate and the figures. Quickly (automatically) sorted out the request for certificate, arranged to have it sent automatically every year, then transferred me to a human to give me the figures.

@HSBC_UK I have never received such a poor customer service in my life. Dispute still not resolved. I have been waiting 4 months for any contact with you. Have tried again today to get help. What do I have to do to get this resolved. Lost total faith in you @HSBC_UK

@HSBC_UK I’ve already been through the help centre for this, Russell. They say it’s new checks that have been introduced, which the checkout systems haven’t been set up to deal with. I got round it by a) using another bank account and b) not buying the tickets.
