Tonight I’d like to thank @Morrisons and @HSBC_UK for ruining my evening! Issues with paying at petrol pump led to my card being declined. Then I had to hang around the forecourt for an hour to get through HSBC customer services to unblock my card. Rant done! 🤬

@CallOutFraud @HSBC_UK Branches are dying out for a reason but if you've provided a service for years, then withdrawing it to save money is clearly not about good customer service

@RedCircleFP @HSBC_UK But you can understand customers' anger when the service they rely on is withdrawn

@BBCBreaking I don’t think @HSBC_UK really cares what it’s customers think and see them as an inconvenience. This policy of online has been pushed on customers which is fine until there is an issue. An older generation that is not online is being increasingly isolated.

@avtsuk @HSBC_UK You're not alone there in your HSBC experience Captain! Outsourcing of call centres is the death knell in the overall, consistently crappy service "offered" to customers by EVERY commercial bank ! (Except of course when they 1. want your money and 2. want to use your money)

@HSBC_UK I finally got on after 1 hour. Your agent was no help. I asked for help on how to make a payment. 1) By online. 2) Mobile app. Read instructions but it won't work.

@HSBC_UK I’ve been a customer since having Midland account opened for me as a child. Had Premier acc over decade. Today I’m told by tel CS HSBC don’t speak directly to Premier customers anymore so can’t discuss my query about account but tell me they can send closure pack!😲🤯

@RedCircleFP @HSBC_UK So people were going, but they decided providing the service was too expensive.
