Tonight I’d like to thank @Morrisons and @HSBC_UK for ruining my evening! Issues with paying at petrol pump led to my card being declined. Then I had to hang around the forecourt for an hour to get through HSBC customer services to unblock my card. Rant done! 🤬

@HSBC_UK why have you rejected my application? I have no debt and plenty of money to move across. I have been advised to go on your website to find out why but there’s no information or it’s difficult to find. Not a great first experience. Do you not want customers without debt?

@Samanth75858460 @HSBC_UK Agree with what you said in your thread. I said to the customer care phone line (after a looooong wait in a queue) that it was clearly new policy/regulation. He thought the app/PC allowed for updating tax status. It doesn’t. Only he could update it. Lots tweeting about it.
