What are we having a general election debate on ITV on a Sunday - we need Heartbeat back on the TV to watch - richard burgon needs winding up he pauses like a broken cassette tape... pauses in sentences make seconds become hours and that lad turns my time into days

People in Shotton Colliery near Peterlee tell ITV Tyne Tees they heard a loud ‘bang’ that they thought may have been a car crash as a parachutist landed on the roof of a house this afternoon. The man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Part of the issue is that a lot of people have a problem with cruelty affecting certain species but couldn’t care less about others. That really needs to change. @JuliaBradbury @ITV Keep positive. We lost my dad to pancreatic cancer in November - it really does take the best and is awful to watch. We have amazingly strong friends going through treatment at the moment all with young children and the fear is awful but we stay as positive as we can x
